Understand Prince Charles is now to go, (todays news radio) representing the Queen and Country.

Interesting to hear Mr Obama on TV interview last night offering to work to get the Queen invited.

From Mr Brown on Andrew Marr Show Sunday, I will get her invited if she wants to go. Yeh Right, as if she is going to ask HIM.

Labour, EU, Brown, who rules us now, the sound of pennies dropping all over the country is getting very noisy, and not before time.

Yes, we will indeed remember them and what our fathers and grandfathers fought for, and I will also remember who it has been who has let the current state of affairs happen. Who should have been opposing it? Who should have been reporting it? Who should have been doing their best for Britain rather than themselves?

Remove patrotism and all you get is self-serving interest. Remove personal responsibility and all you get is petty regulation.
Remove excellence and all you get is stupidity.

Again Labour has allowed this to happen and brings shame to our country. Even Mr Obama is at a loss about how it happened.

“Crucial contribution”? There were more British and Canadian troops at D-Day than American. Brit Airborne did better. British invention and use of specialised armour (flails, swimming tanks etc) got GOLD beach head five miles deep on Day One, unlike Omaha bloodbath.
But don’t forget USA was fighting another war in the Pacific.

From the papers this morning it would seem that the Spanish have been given the right by the EU to the manage the waters around Gibralter (Our original designated waters)

Time will tell if our Government do anything about it.

The longer it is allowed without challenge, then the more likely you will eventually see a Spanish flag flying on the rock !!!!!!

We don’t need the EU, if the British people were truly set free, I mean monetarily, coining our own money instead of Borrowing it from Privately owned central banks the entire EU would have to follow our example or Drown in our Wash.

There were more British troops than US ones & far more British & Commonwealth (mainly Canadian) at D-Day. To be dair to the yanks most of the weaponry was built by them. Still it was not a US liberation with a bit of help as so often portrayed.

On the other hand everybody gives the Canadians too little credit too.

This is another example of the sham EU – De Gaulle started the arrogant disregard of our sacrifices and it seems the current leadership has not moved on regardless of our supposed European Union. We also have the running sore of Gibraltar with Spain currently testing our resolve again. I was surprised to read that Gib was classified in the SW region for the European elections and presumably is part of the EU. On this supposition I think it is time that we offered the Gibraltarians the option of becoming an integrated part of the UK. If I remember my history the Treaty of Utrecht predates by four years the union with Scotland!
