Dear John,
Have you actually considered the advantages of 'Hemp farming', hemp drinks vast amounts of water esp; in its final phase of growth, which would have prevented the regular floods had there been some planned hemp farming. Hemp is very good for the land, does not need rotating every year as do other crops, Hemp actually reflects 'Ozone' back into outer-space. And, the world needs food, Hemp seed is the most nutritous of any seed, it contains 'essential' fatty-acids Omega 3,6,&9, in the exact ratio needed by the human body for health benefits.
Hemp can be made to taste and smell like steak, ham, chicken,Turkey, and patisarie's. Hemp can build a car and run on hemp oil, already accomplished by Henry Ford. Hemp is a better insulation material and all other house building materials presently used. But, because of the 'war on drugs' politians are 'afraid' to even debate the issue. Regards Ian
