On my visit to the Trust on Friday I asked for their view of the new hospital proposal from Dr Lee MP.
They confirmed that there is no worked up proposal from within the NHS or from a health provider. The NHS locally is continuing to base its future plans around the Royal Berkshire and the other local hospitals.
They said they are going to strengthen Wokingham Hospital as a local control centre and health hub. They work with the four Berkshire Commissioning Groups and Councils to ensure proper NHS provision in Berkshire.

Privatize NHS provision in that way the patients/customers will decide the level and location of provision. Not a bunch of politicians and bureaucrats who more often than not get it wrong and put more emphasis on working conditions and structure that suit them and the staff and not the patients. The NHS may be a sacred cow to most but unfortunately they have been worshiping it in a church that preaches the wrong religion/ideology.

Indeed get the power to patients make the money follow the patient rather than as now where the hospital have incentive to keep patients away.
