I attended the social gathering and service at the Salvation Army Church in Sturges Road on Good Friday. I am grateful to the Salvation Army for hosting the event this year and making us all feel welcome.

The Salvation Army is one of the best charities to donate to. 1.They are a genuine charity. 2. Their overheads are low. 3.They spend most of the money at home on the really needy.

I totally agree! I donate to the Salvation Army regularly, because while Politicians talk, the Salvation Army roll up their sleeves and get on and help the poorest of society. Without them, many would be in a terrible predicament. They daily demonstrate their belief in the value of every person,. They do not judge. One of the best charities in this country, and in the wider world.

Your local Hospice probably deserves the same accolade and support, unlike many so-called ‘charities’ that are rapidly losing people’s trust.

Germany is considering ignoring it in regard to a criminal from Spain

The alleged ‘criminal’ arrested in Germany isn’t a ‘criminal’ until he or she has been convicted of a crime.
Neither is he accused of having committed any crime in Germany, a feature of the EAW which regardless of our view of his activities in Catalonia is part and parcel of our opposition to it.
Germany is not in any case ‘ignoring’ the EAW. The EAW has been executed. Puigement has been arrested, and the court is now in the process of considering whether to hand him over to Spain.
An absolutely identical situation has arisen in the UK. Clara Ponsati has been arrested in Edinburgh on allegations identical to Puigement’s, in connection with the Catalonia events.
The UK court has released Ponsati on bail and she is awaiting the same sort of hearing that Puigement is.
The offences of which both are accused are not offences which exist in Germany, or in the UK, even if they had committed the the alleged acts here.
One of the curious features about all this, is that regardless of whether there are grounds for doing so, a lot of EU Remain fanatics in Scotland want the court to refuse to extradite Ponsati, whereas many vociferous opponents of the EAW, assume both Puigement and Ponsati are guilty already, and should be treated as such without trial.

If anyone gets comfort from their religious views, not matter how contrary to yours or ”science”, why would you sneer at them for that? Why would you try to deny their belief?
So long as they don’t use that belief, warped, to hurt anyone else, let them be comforted by it. Don’t spread gloom – that’s the way to a dark age.
