John Redwood:Ā
To ask theĀ Secretary of StateĀ for Health and Social Care, what recent assessment he has made of the cost of the reorganisation of clinical commissioning groups.
Edward Argar, Minister of State (Department of Health and Social Care):
There has been no specific assessment.Ā NHS EnglandĀ andĀ NHS ImprovementĀ are providing guidance and support during the abolition of clinical commissioning groups and the establishment of integrated care boards. NHS England and NHS Improvement are managing changes required to adapt software and processes managed by third-party suppliers and we expect these costs to be absorbed within NHS Englandās budgets.

So no cost/benefit analysis done/available and HMG just trusts the NHS to get on with it. No wonder itās in the s**t

It is important to reorganise the NHS regularly so that purely by chance one reorganisation
will affect an improvement in performance at last. It also means that the Arts graduates who run the NHS can appear to be acting proactively despite it causing a further waste of money on yet another computer system. We do need hospitals and we do need doctors but why do we need the involvement of so many people with Arts degrees when anyone can walk in and receive free treatment without any check on entitlement or cost as long as they are prepared to wait and wait and wait…

Many excellent N urses left school and became Trainees going up the ladder whilst those 3 years at University would have been wasted. Now more than ever with Lecturers part time and wanting to strike not to mention Diversity which has become a Subject of great importance. What a Waste.
