Shinfield lunch

It was good to join the Shinfield Conservatives branch for a garden lunch on Sunday at the Elm Tree in Beech Hill. The roast beef Sunday lunch was great, with members enjoying getting out and seeing each other again after lockdown. There was much discussion of how to handle the virus from here,as well as talk about the football final.

At times I wonder if we have been played on the football. Southgate stages an politically ambiguous kneeling set piece, something designed to attract criticism. He also has three Black players kick the last penalties which can only result in hero or zero status. Hero we get the diversity propaganda , something the likes of Sadiq Khan was already teeing up, or the zero scenario that will attract some knuckle draggers tweeting their poison. We get the latter and all hell breaks loose, its like BLM hysteria all over again, the media are on it like a feeding frenzy, it is as if they were waiting for the go signal, we get denigrated as a racist nation, and the left go hunting for Priti Patel’s scalp. Sickening!

As is usual with these situations facts are in short supply , we get told racist tweets have been made, and on that we are condemned , but no numbers and no context. Now albeit late in the day the numbers are beginning to come out and we are told there were over 850,000 tweets associated with the Euros, under 2,000 may have an issue, 167 considered nasty , and of those quite a number are from abroad.

The Government should make it a matter of importance to get these numbers out there. I understand Michael Fabricant has tabled a question, but don’t allow the information to sneak out, make sure it is known, for if it fails to support the medias narrative we will never hear about it.

Of course you ā€˜wonderā€™ because it supports your particular narrative. Presumably if the numbers are small, thatā€™s ok then.

Personally I donā€™t care. One is too many.

    Mandatory vaccine for healthcare workers???

Meanwhile on an alternative universe, making an emergency only authorised gene therapy, for a virus with 99% survival rate mandatory for care workers is an absolute disgrace. By threatening a persons livelihood in this way, these people will not be willingly signing up to have this jab. They are being forced to have it. Further, this jab doesn’t even stop you getting the virus or passing it on! So why make it mandatory? I sincerely hope many refuse/leave.

The politicians who voted for this, cannot claim they are saving lives when the statistics evidence a decreasing number of people getting ill or dying from this virus. However, what the statistics do evidence is a growing number of previously healthy people who have been made ill, become disabled or died after the jab. What a disgusting, depraved mob inhabit Parliament. I sincerely hope they all find themselves as defendants in multiple liable cases/class action.

When you have an operation the surgeon explains the risks and gets you to sign a consent form. He will explain they are always there but very small.

On the basis of your thinking no one should ever have an operation. What tosh.

“When you have an operation the surgeon explains the risks and gets you to sign a consent form. He will explain they are always there but very small.” Erm, from my experience he also explains the extent of the benefits and any risks.

However, if I had a Doctor with only 6 months training under his belt, claiming what you state, I would be very concerned. That same consideration applies with this gene therapy, which hasn’t even completed its trial phases, so nobody knows what the long term effects are.

Are you going to accept the responsibility downstream? Probably not. So why should people be forced to play Russian Roulette with their bodies?

With a majority of around eighty the Tories can afford the luxury of having a few outliers, and so appearing a broad church.

However, when things are tighter then those get expelled if expedient.

The virus does NOT have a 99% survival rate. Somewhere between one in thirty and one in sixty cases globally have proved directly fatal.

      1. J Bush
        July 14, 2021

Correct, the survival isn’t 99%. It is actually 99.05%.
Global covid deaths = 4,046,470 13 July – reference WHO
        Global population = 7,800,000,000
percentage covid deaths per global population = 0.05%

and 100% death rate eventually in all countries. ‘Directly fatal’ meaning what ? No known medical vulnerabilities?. But there are hundreds of millions of world population that have no medical history, no useful access to medical help. What is the direct death rate to Aids, pneumonia, heart disease, typhoid, leprosy in dozens of countries you are always claiming to have a better situation than the West..

Go and dig it out for yourself Mic – There is a report out called ABSOLUTE ZERO — It says exactly that, as well as closing down all airports.
No foreign holidays for you if you last another 10 years or so, or any of us.

It’s just no flying abroad, you can always go in a rubber dinghy (free food and accommodation as well) as thousands have already proved even during the pandemic without a passport as well, no matter that the country is green, amber, or red !

There are all sorts of silly reports out.
I seem to recall one listing the “advantages” of the UK’s leaving the European Union for instance.

ABSOLUTE ZERO was commissioned by the government, meaning they told the authors what they wanted to see in the report and will use it to justify more oppression.
            – If you are not even going to try and read it then don’t complain when your quality of life hits rock bottom.

I hope sycophancy was not the order of the day. HMG looks lost on Covid future strategy. We need some leadership, despite anti vaxxers using the emotive words ā€˜disability/diedā€™ post jab, the numbers are so small that on a risk benefit analysis the protection offered vastly outweighs the minute negatives.

How many people are getting the virus because they have ignored the rules and if thatā€™s the case unless you are going to impose a national quarantine no amount if further lockdowns will make any difference. Three to date and no evidence of their efficacy. A fourth must be resisted or the public will take matters into their own hands as they are doing now. One rule for Gove/football fans and officials another for the rest of us.

Well if I was in the same situation again, ie choosing a care home for a relative, I would insist on all the staff recording their vaccinations. Duty of Care should be the primary concern.

    1. J Bush
      July 14, 2021

Why, this jab doesn’t stop you getting the virus, or passing it on?

      1. Nig l
        July 14, 2021

So transmission rates are the same with vaccine or without. Presumably you donā€™t wear a seat belt because some people still die whilst wearing one.

        More tosh.

        1. Micky Taking
          July 14, 2021

absolutely not! After 2 jabs, risk of catching Covid is far less, and when caught has much much lighter result, then additionally most victims’ own antibodies kill off the virus to a very high degree within say 3 days. Therefore much reduced chance of passing on.
So, given the choice as an old infirm person yourself – now choose a Care Home where all staff have had 2 jabs, or one where a few have but others refuse? Well punk, do you feel lucky?

I have never used a seat belt that hasn’t been through vigorous testing at design level, or hasn’t been tested annually.

And when all the trials on this gene therapy are completed and all the results are publicised, then I will be able to make an informed decision. šŸ™‚

            if you live that long.
But you haven’t died yet from mumps, measles, rubela, polio, diptheria , hepatitus, tetanus, whooping cough, TB, shingles, etc…..Perhaps your parents should have waited about 10 years – – -just to be sure, eh?

Exactly — Those with a decent immune system are far better off not going anywhere near the vaccine

        1. Micky Taking
          July 14, 2021

Unbelievable nonsense…..did your parents refuse all the innoculations from birth?
What is a decent immune system? Please list the features, age, gender, medical history, vulnerabilities, medicines ever taken, diet, exercise, exposure to all the nasty colds/coughs/fly, viruses…..? We’d all love to know if we might be in the 0.05% of people who might resist almost everything known to damage humans. Want to be immortal?

Maybe not but we can all hope it will prevent so many deaths and keep hospital admissions down so other conditions can be dealt with. I would at least like to think that I will survive now even though I may be very ill with it.
