There is a video on youtube called “Tumble Dryers the Shocking Truth About Heat Pump vs Vented & Condenser, NEW LEGISLATION!” which exposes the reality of the EU (& UK following EU rules) ban on clothes dryers which do not use heat pump tech, which comes in later this year. Yet another green agenda nonsense rammed down our throats which is completely counter productive, and will do nothing to help the environment. It will be yet another unnecessary cost on living here, to make our country ever more uncompetitive versus countries without such nonsense rules.
Now that Mr Trump has stopped the manipulation of the car market in the US, and is allowing people to decide what kind of power they want in their car, it is about time we did the same here. Stop the penalties on car makers if they do not sell the mandated percentage of electric cars, allow them to sell whatever the customers want. I note the penalties for last year have been rigged, as the makers didnt sell enough pure electric cars, so should all have been due to pay large penalties… to avoid this the government is allowing them to count hybrids as electric cars for last year… to stop the inevitable problems from massive fines, companies going bust, and so on.

Customers are rightful Kings and Queens of what they want and need, Iain.
Politicians and suppliers must produce whatever most fulfils customer requirements or risk ending up rejected as perished goods.

Is it possible to put the Oxford lecture on this web site?
