I am not usually in favour of us fighting wars in the Middle East. I do think the only way to deter Iran who see us as an enemy and regularly attack us one way or another is to provide strong defence and to help destroy their aggressive forces. It is almost unbelievable that there has been no naval ship going to the Eastern Mediterranean. Our two fairly new aircraft carriers are both in UK ports. None of the 6 destroyers were available to send to protect our air base in Cyprus either before hostilities or when fighting broke out. One destroyer is crewed and ready but Ministers decided it was more important to send it to an Arctic exercise than to divert it to the real thing. Don’t they know there is a war on?
Surely they should have sent more air and some naval power to the Med weeks ago when it was obvious there were tensions that could boil over?
Shouldn’t they require better planning of deeper maintenance to avoid the service loss of too many ships at the same time?
The government’s punk lawyer approach makes life impossible. Sloppy law has left them in limbo on the disastrous planned give away of Diego Garcia. Threatening old soldiers with yet another review of long ago IRA troubles is unfair and puts people off joining the army.
Meanwhile the government promises extra money to repair holes in our defences, but this is too little too late , sometime never money. Will no Minister rebuild our defences? Will no Minister lead our forces in a proud way, ensuring they are available for action when needed? Starmer’s failure to act against Iran is shaming our country.
March 7, 2026
the poor quality procurement of defence assets and services is a big part of the problem. the failure to move towards drone and anti drone world. the massive hidden losses and screw ups in the nuclear weapons endeavour. the waste on inter services rivalry and duplication. incestuous way the same people keep screwing up defence projects, forced by the way SC works, takes too long for anyone from outside defence to get. massive effort on failures of DEI crap, like open discrimination against white working class males, adverts that show British soldiers getting prayer mats out mid battle, and other such nonsense. badly led, badly prioritised, no vision.
March 7, 2026
Alk part of the master plan. As we’ve seen with Chagis and Gibraltar, giving away our assets to weaken the country.
There is unlimited budget to keep Importing the third world, the majority of which would form a fifth column if the odure hit the fan.
We really must rid ourselves of these anti British charlatans in Westminster before there’s nothing left to salvage.
Traitorous doesn’t do justice describing these people.
March 7, 2026
@iain gill & @Ian Wragg – the enemy at the gates is the UK State and those that serve in it the keeping showing their ‘hate’ for the UK and its Citizens. It is now so malicious it can no longer be seen as incompetence, but part of a ‘Master Plan’
March 7, 2026
Seems so.
“The lack of political leadership lets down our forces” indeed it does, plus any leadership they do give comes from his 180 degrees out duff compass. So are Starmer, Lammy, Miliband, Phillipson, Reeves, Healey, Mahmoud… just very stupid or is damaging the UK and perhaps causing civil war their real goal!
March 7, 2026
Iain
Like every other UK Government for the past 3 decades, world conflict has been ignored with regards to the management and re-equipment of our Armed forces.
I am certainly no expert but even the lessons of the Falklands, which we only won by the skin of our teeth, seem to have even been ignored,
Procurement of new ships has been a disaster, I believe our frigates needed to have new engines as they could not function properly in warm waters, Carriers without aircraft for years.
Nuclear Subs now so ancient we are advised they can only send out one at a time.
Tanks and people carriers ordered and paid for at huge cost, appear from those supplied so far, to be completely unfit for purpose and way over budget..
Almost half of our airforce seems to be constantly under maintenance.
Then we have experienced highly trained personnel being made redundant, and those few who are left would not even fill Wembley Stadium.
The first line of duty is for any Government is to keep our Country secure and safe, yet that lie has been exposed fully over the last few years for all to see, with the rubber boat invasion.
Failure, failure, and more failure of the Countries people in every part of Government for over 30 years, by all of the traditional Party’s politicians.
March 7, 2026
Starmer’s failure to act against Iran is shaming our country.
And we all know why he doesn’t want to act is because of a certain voter he doesn’t want to upset 🤔but he doesn’t give a tosh about Cyprus but at least they have Italy, Spain, France and others to send naval vessels to protect Cyprus after Iranian strike, but Mr Jellyfish just fiddles like Nero when Rome burnt
March 7, 2026
@Mick – Starmer?
In the UK Parliament there are at least some 470 MPs out of 650 MPs that support his every move, that would sooner destroy the Country than work with those that pay and empower them.
Those MPs ‘Own’ the destruction being piled on the UK. If they were against it, the could remove the 2TK crew today.
The rot is in Parliament as a whole.
March 7, 2026
In Israel, it’s just ridicule of Britain and Starmer.
This is Haaretz: “We shall chicken out on the beaches, we shall hide on the landing grounds, we shall cower in the fields and we shall escape in the streets.”
March 7, 2026
Good Morning,
Chagos, UK’s most influential politian of the last 20 years is presently the guest of the President of the USA, like him or not, he’s the one fighting for the good of this country, most of the others are ineffectual gas bags, doing more harm than good.
March 7, 2026
Correctl Peter, live him or loathe him Farsge is a real patriot and probably our only chance.
March 7, 2026
Establishing the Chagossian bridgehead on Isle de Coin was a masterstroke – one worthy of Churchill 🙂
I don’t think the Human Rights Legal Android currently masquerading as a British Prime Minister is going to want to have to defend a possible charge of ethnic cleansing.
March 7, 2026
Mauritius wants to charge them with terrorism.
March 7, 2026
@Peter Wood & @Ian Wragg
Agreed, the one person that at this moment in time clearly supports the Country and its People, is stuck being the one least likely to do it for at least anther 3 plus years. The majority in this traitorous Parliament are more worried about ‘him’ than they are their electorate and the country. They see that if in the next 3 plus years they can destroy as much of the fabric of the country the will have their Marxist State embedded before any elections are permitted.
March 7, 2026
Yet he ‘does not care what ethnicity the British are or become’.
March 7, 2026
Quite so. Better than giving preference to those in this country who are not British.
March 7, 2026
Not by much!
March 9, 2026
I can’t forgive Farage for landing us with this destructive and treasonous government. Only 20% of the electorate voted for them, 33% of the turnout. Think what Farage could have achieved if he had patriotically and intelligently targeted his campaign. By having tunnel vision and only wanting to destroy the Conservatives, he managed to get 4 seats himself, and give Starmer this huge majority for five fatal years. We have another 3 years to go.
He told the electorate it would make no difference and that Brexit was done (it wasn’t) and Brexit was safe (it wasn’t). Those lies maybe should not have been believed by the public, and people are responsible for how they vote, but it is heartbreaking watching the consequences of his thoughtless and dishonest intervention. If he had been patriotic, he might now have 70 seats to build on.
March 7, 2026
I’m not in favour of us being involved in war with Iran, but if we do such a thing at least we ought to do it well. You can’t be half-commited to waging war; spin and PR are weapons to dominate public opinion but they count for nothing on the battlefield.
Starmer has not followed his Party’s instincts here (or perhaps his own) and like so many British leaders, gone along with the US. He can’t have it both ways. My guess is the prevarication affected our military planning or at least the adoption of military plans.
Stepping back, we’re involved in a totally unnecessary war and have made ourselves – quite literally – a target. The war is unpopular here (50:30 against) and the US 56:44 against) for a number of good reasons. The US has lost its way and we should reassess the postwar “special relationship”.
March 7, 2026
Yes, we in the civilised ‘West’ don’t want to have to waste life and resources fighting, just to retain the status-quo. The problem with that position is that when the ‘other side’ don’t hold that civilised view and do wish to expend their resources on some perceived gain, then we either fight or lose what we have. Our difficulty is knowing when to take up arms to protect what has been won by earlier generations.
March 7, 2026
I read the recent Daily Mail article by Israeli journalist Haviv Rettig Gur and found myself nodding a great deal. He argies that everythng Trump is doing is about China, not Iran. Quite clearly no one in their right mind would want the Mullahs to obtain nuclear weapons but Gur states that the Chinese were offering anti-ship ballistic missiles capable of defeating the anti-missile system on US Navy ships. Iran (like Venezuala) also provide large quantities of oil to China.
It is all too easy to see Trump as a fool. He may have an ego the size of barn and a somewhat limited range of adjectives but I think he’s getting ready to confront China. If Xi tries to take Taiwan in 2027, then he may be proved to be pretty shrewd in his preparations (unlike our complete fool of a PM).
March 7, 2026
Yes, this attack on Iran pays off twice, first to neuter the mad mullahs (eliminate the nuclear threat) and more important, shut off the second oil supply to China, the first being Venezuela. This will either bring out the Chinese military in force, (Ooops!) or cause an economic shutdown and political change, removing the East Asian threat as well. Crazy like a fox!
March 7, 2026
So how much *more* do want us to be paying for petrol, Peter, if you want oil supplies shut off? Presumably you have taught about this, so do tell us.
March 7, 2026
Well, two of the world’s largest oil suppliers no longer sending their oil to PRC, (nor Cuba) now where else could they sell it….
Be more concerned about how crazy the PRC might become when they realise that the orange President has taken away one of their largest oil suppliers.
March 7, 2026
@Wanderer – its good to see that wishing a despot dictator owning nuclear missiles to threaten everyone including Britain, has found favour with you.
March 7, 2026
As if the question was as simple as some seem to think. Isn’t it possible to be against what Trump and Netanyahu are now doing to Iran but also be anti-mollahs and not anti-semitic?
To be supporting the liberation (or at least the non-massacre) of Iran civilians, in particular Iranian women and youngsters, but considering that what PotUS following the Israeli PM (1/ up to 27/02/2026 there were negotiations going on in Oman, 2/ see Marco Rubio on Monday 02/03/2026) are doing, without any clear plan on what the final objectives are, might not be the reason for the UK to embark in another of the failures that Iraq, Libya, and Afghanistan have been?
Moreover seeing what Trump did after taking Maduro out of Venezuela one could think there’s in fact nothing in Trump’s plan about a more democratic Iran.
As for Nigel being the ‘real patriot’ please let me refer you to factually.co 23/02/2026 ‘What factual evidence is there that shows Nigel Farage is not the patriot that he claims to be?’
Reply Yes an individual can be anti Iran and also against the US/Israel action. The issue I am discussing is the UK cannot declare itself neutral when Iran is attacking our personnel and bases. We need to defend them.
March 7, 2026
Many claim they would be supportive only if only there was a “clear plan”
As you do hefner.
What “clear plan” do you require?
What “clear plan” would satisfy you?
PS
If USA with Donald Trump as President didn’t try to bring about the end of this terrible regime in Iran then who in the world would?
We have waited decades whilst the regime funded dresdful terrorism all over the world, continually called for death to Israel, death to all Jews and death to America and subjucated its people..especially women..into poverty and a fearful existence.
You happy to see Iran having nuclear weapons?
Just when would you be happy for any nation to act against Iran?
March 7, 2026
Reply to reply. A military drone has a range of about 450 miles max. Cyprus is 750 miles from Iran. The drone didn’t come from Iran.
Another belligerent is a lot closer to Cyprus.
March 7, 2026
A Shahed 136 Drone (as currently being used by both the Iranians and Russians) is thought to have a range between 650 and 1,500 miles HM (apparently dependant on the cruising speed it is set to achieve & the size/weight of warhead it is carrying). The drone that hit RAF Akrotiri is thought to have been fired by Hezbollah from Southern Lebanon – but given that Cyprus is less than 1,200 miles from the Iranian border, they could in theory be fired from there…
March 8, 2026
I think you will find that the drones supplied by Russia to Iran have greater range and capacity than you cite.
March 8, 2026
But of course the drone was probably sent by Hezbollah.
March 7, 2026
There is no evidence that Iran were the nation that launched the attacks on Cyprus.
“The Sun quoted an unnamed official saying: “Based on type of drone and its range and ability, Defence Intelligence can confirm that that drone was not launched from Iran.”
False flag?
Little coverage of the 160 plus Iranian schoolgirls killed.
Imagine if it had happened in Israel – and the victims were not Palestinians?
Names of dead American service personnel only just released.
There is a war on. Don’t immediately trust anything you hear, or read, or even see in dodgy videos.
March 8, 2026
Peter
Yet you believe the figures for casualties Hamas put out.
March 7, 2026
Too late on both. The USA did not trust the U.K. Government enough to share intelligence or even their war intentions.
But don’t worry, the Great US President, a bold man, and brave brilliant little Israel have cut the heart out of (the Iranian government Ed). They have recovered and will set the Persians free to be Persians again, the first (Islamist ed) conquered country to escape that hand of death.
May there be many more.
March 7, 2026
their war intentions have been obvious for a long time to anyone who cared to look. any country claiming to not have known is led by idiots.
March 7, 2026
Yes, but Israel is only acting in self-defence, remember.
March 7, 2026
Exactly. Who wants to drag us and the Americans into a war? As if we didn’t know.
March 7, 2026
Oh nobody dragged us into war, well we have our children in the front line of course, they are dealing with the attack and they are denied all institutional defence.
Heroic.
March 7, 2026
My children are in this country. Not yours, perhaps?
March 8, 2026
I live in ‘this country’. Why are you not worried sick about the massive gang rapin* crime syndicates targeting small British children?
March 7, 2026
Starmers labour government, and that is an exageration of terms, is on performance since taking office, anti British and the british people. The very latest EU greasing action is to sell out Gibralta. Add up all they have done since taking office, and any reasonable judgement would deem them traiterous. They govern for what they imagine are the interests of labour, not the United Kingdom. Even what they saw as their sectarian muslim vote is fast abandoning them. May is our first real opportunity to begin their demise, take it before the damage they are intent on becomes irrevocable.
March 7, 2026
Indeed but whatever happens in May we will have nearly three more years of appalling broken compass government from Labour.
So Queen Camilla has actively urged people to reduce their screen time and spend more time reading.
Give me a phone or tablet over a book any day. It is after all a library full of books, books you can search, can even read themselves to you (while you do other things), can look up words you do not know, an encyclopaedia, a library of endless music, films, pictures, a camera, a search tool, a diary, alarm clock, video phone, a tv, a radio, a repair and how to do things manual, access to the worlds best tutors, scientist, teachers, entertainers, a recipe library a two way communication tool… would Camila be saying stop using paper go back to using a scribe & slate?
All this easily bought for well under £100 – unless you insist on the posher brands!
March 7, 2026
@agricola – the interest of Self, the Fabian Society, the WEF they don’t believe in country or people. Just a World order in their own personal image in that they have a lot in common with the Leaders of Iran, they hate the people, they suppress democracy, they want rule a world in their own personal image, not to serve, govern or lead for the benefit of all
March 7, 2026
The Ayatollah says ‘women are animals made to look like humans so as not to scare men’.
I would happily give up my current looks to scare a few men!
March 7, 2026
sums up this USELESS so -called government’s approach to everything
March 7, 2026
The problem with our forces probably has less to do with lack of political leadership and more to do with the MoD’s incessant efforts to cut military capability to pay for their procurement cock-ups. Even the Royal Marine’s amphibious assault ships have been sold to Brazil
The fact is that Britain’s forces have savagely run down over the past 14 years, starting with the dreadful and malign 2010 SDSR. The very poor condition of our privatised military housing has had a bad effect on recruitment and retention. We are constantly expecting our military to do more with less and we have expended our previously deep stocks of ammunition and equipment – particularly artillery – to support Ukraine.
We have bought £billions of assets such as the Type 45 destroyers and the Astute class SSN only to have them tied up alongside for years waiting for refits and maintenance due to closure of naval bases. The once lauded British Army has been cut to the bone and the Labour SoS Defence Healey recently had to stop the MoD from disbanding 2 and 3 Para to save money.
The Israelis spent abut £25b last year on defence. Their armed forces regularly wipe the floor with their opponents to defend their people. We spent about £65 billion and we have less tanks, less warplanes, less submarines and less ships.
We do, however have 65,000 Latin speaking MoD civil servants. Twice as many as our reserve forces. The MoD needs root and branch reform.
March 7, 2026
People are just realising that laws, soft power, and politeness mean nothing without hard power to back it up. Kids misbehave at school? So what? What are you going to do? Want to steal from a shop? So what? What’s the punishment? Want to break into the country? Do it – there’s no punishment or deterrent. Want to murder thousands of your own people? Be careful – Yvette Cooper might wag a matronly finger and say “don’t do it”…..why not Yvette? What are you going to do?
Is Starmer so stupid that he thinks you can negotiate a settlement without flexing muscles? “Please don’t make a nuke Ali” “Why not? What are you going to do, hit me with a law book?”
March 7, 2026
Exactly – “You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth” Winston Churchill? This even if you do try to explain international law to them!
March 7, 2026
Let he without sin cast the first stone.
My goodness. I suggest Tories complaining about two years of Labour should keep quiet when they allowed our Navy to be hollowed out over many years. Indeed the whole political class has been shown up to be totally shabby for different reasons.
Cameron spent billions on vanity project aircraft carriers without the necessary fleet support including sufficient aircraft.
March 7, 2026
I thought it was Gorden Brown who ordered them (to be built in Rosyth…) ?
March 7, 2026
Refusing our major ally (the only one which can defend us if necessary) permission to use our bases, particularly the one in Diego Garcia, looks like an act of sheer stupidity. Failing to prepare to defend British interests in Cyprus, when the Iran/USA-Israel war drums have been banging for weeks, and letting “our EU friends” do it for us also looks like an act of sheer stupidity.
But it looks logical and deliberate ….. if your primary objective is to dispense with British overseas territories; distance this country from the USA and demonstrate the willingness and ability of “our EU allies” to come to our aid in order to lay the ground to join an EU Defence Pact.
We did not have to join in the attack on Iran initially but we should have allowed the USA to make use of Diego Garcia. But as soon as Iran attacked RAF Akrotiri it became our fight. And Two-Tier’s lack of preparation and utter failure to do anything to defend our base is disgraceful.
He has utterly humiliated this country.
March 7, 2026
Actually now that it is over bar the shouting, Starmer has ‘joined the war against The Islamic Republic’.
So he has now annoyed all his friends he invited for supper and an arm stroke only days ago.
They leave not a stone unturned…
March 7, 2026
It’s doing far more than that – it’s making our government a laughing stock, mainly comprised of international lawyers.
Trump by now should have gotten the full measure of our PM – it took us a while to work it all out, that Starmer’s international laws were what drove him. Now the world can see what a fantasist we have in #10, who prefers to call for de-escalation when talks have been going on for years – So you can see who he favours….! He still appears to consider the Palestinians over the Jews.
Why doesn’t he take the same de-escalation approach with Ukraine?
Could he have personal ambitions to engage with Russia on that battlefield?
Starmer’s personal failures in supporting the USA and planning to have what exists of our fighting force in the thick of it will surely haunt him and u for years to come.
March 7, 2026
I fear that Starmer is all too keen to keep the Ukraine war going so that he can join in and attack / punish Russia – but why would he do that?
The answer lies in Putin’s reaction to the new world order. He was often chastised by Merkel for not joining in. Russia is a front against the insanities of this international order and has clearly offended Starmer.
March 7, 2026
You are 100% correct.
Putin alone defeated the Globalists.
March 7, 2026
I agree we need to expand our military capabilities and quickly. If Putin were to invade Europe he is not likely to give us a weeks notice of his intentions, remember the start of Russias invasion Ukraine was preceded by public denials.
March 7, 2026
Look we can’t be always following America everywhere it wants to go, for instance a few weeks ago it was Venezuela now Iran and next week could be Cuba by the way he is talking – Starmer is correct in staying out but he has John Healey on the wing chomping at the bits – a lot to contend with. Even more serious because it is not President Trump and his mad entourage calling the shots but clearly Netanyahu on his kast Hurrah! – so why should get in line to follow any if this
March 7, 2026
The state of our Armed Forces (most especoally our Royal Navy) simply beggars belief. Whatever the state of our Fleet when Labour took over, they have had ample time to at least fix the ships we do still have. We are an Island, a sea faring nation but we have destroyed both our fishing fleets and our abilty to protect our vital sea routes and undersea cabling. These people are beyond useless, they are a dangerous liability..
March 7, 2026
We also can’t defend our off shore wind farms!
March 7, 2026
38 admirals, but we can’t send a single ship into the Med.
March 7, 2026
I have no wish to diminish the malevolence and utter craptitude of this government but you are assuming that Trump et al consulted on actual intentions and plans a few weeks ago.
Combine this with the hollowing out of our forces by this and previous governments and you get the present mess.
March 7, 2026
I cannot understand Sir John, that while you are closer to Starmer’s Gang than I am in Australia, you still assume he is on the side of Britain. He is not. He wants it to become what it never has been and what the people of . Britain never have and never will want it to be. Starmer’s Gang is controlled by Fabian’s. They abhor the sovereign nation state. They want a global socialist order. That means deconstructing all they hate in Britain – most of it – to make way for their new order. They loathe democracy, self-determination, the sovereignty of the nation state – all things Israel believes in passionately. they don’t ‘Do God’ as Alistair Campbell said. So they cannot understand the Islamist threat, that etc Ed. They believe all humans’ cultures are equal. They see nothing superior about British culture, nor any culture based on Christian or Judaic principles. They do not value it. They do not wish to protect it. Their Marxism persuades them that Muslims are the exploited people and need protection against Christianity which they believe is the religion of White supremacists and therefore to be supressed and Islam is to be favoured. And in fact they do favour Islam in immigration, two-tier justice, 2-tier policing, 2-tier housing, 2-tier healthcare, 2-tier education (aka brainwashing) etc etc.
They dislike the Israelis because Israelis demonstrate the strength of belief, albeit not Christian, the strength of democratic freedoms, the strength of unity of a people, the strength of individual freedom and unfettered enterprise, the strength of family. Starmer’s Gang of socialists despise every one of these strengths. They see Israel’s success as a block to their aim of establishing a global socialist order.
Starmer’s Gang will only concede to assisting Israel if the price of not doing so would cost them their jobs.
The Armed Services, too, represent all these same values despised by Starmer’s Gang of socialists plus its role in the empire, which Starmer’s Gang sees as abhorrent. Hence its reparations to Chagossians and Mauritius. Starmer’s Gang will never support the Armed Forces other than for the wrong reasons: a vehicle for state expenditure and employment, or to combat the opponents of socialism, like Putin. And it takes pleasure in persecuting military personnel at the behest of the Gang’s allies and Britain’s enemies.
Starmer’s Gang is on the side of the Islamist regime but it knows it cannot say so and must disguise as much as possible its obstruction of the West’s defence against advancing barbaric Islamism.
March 7, 2026
Iran ‘regularly attacks us one way or another’. Sounds a bit vague. Details, please.
March 7, 2026
Attacking our Forces in the Courts for what doing the State and its Leaderships bids them to do lets our forces down even more. You would have to be deranged or in dire straights to want to get involved in defending the UK knowing that if you do as ordered those that ordered you will drag you through the courts, while ensuring those that did the ordering got a free pass – disgusting.
March 7, 2026
Yes I agree 100% Starmer is not even close to having the skills for the job
He is embarrassing
March 7, 2026
Yougov.com 05/03/2026 ‘UK public opinion on the US-Iran conflict’.
March 7, 2026
Bear in mind they have been ‘informed’ by the BBC.
So a huge % know what is really going on and support it.
March 7, 2026
It is all about the questions asked in these polls.
You design questions to get the desired result.
For example
Are you against miltary action…?
Or
Do you support actions that replaces the current regime and creates a stable democratic Iran?
March 7, 2026
Now would be a good time for Argentina to land unopposed and take the Falklands. The UK navy could do nothing, Starmer would dither, and there’d be no support at all from USA. Starmer has the rare ability to alienate all sides – he’s done it again by refusing USA use of UK bases and then a few days later allowing it.
March 7, 2026
Perhaps 2TK and his lawyer mates don’t quite understand that RAF Akrotiri is sovereign British territory and therefore the drone attacks are direct attacks on us.
March 7, 2026
I watched Starmer on PMQs extolling to the House all the actions that had been taken to prepare well in advance for the action that he knew was coming, while all the time he, and everyone else knew that the only object that could provide proper defence to the British air base in Cyprus, was sitting useless in Portsmouth Harbour and was unlikely to be able to sail for nearly two weeks. How can anyone have any respect for, or confidence in him?
If the Defence Secretary was half a person he would resign given the lack of support he is clearly receiving from his leader and colleagues.
March 7, 2026
Resign? and give up the limo and £1,300 a week?
March 7, 2026
“Will no Minister lead our forces in a proud way, ensuring they are available for action when needed?”
No. If we’re going to fight kinetically against totalitarian, authoritarian regimes we are going to need cheap, abundant, weather independent, easily available and storable energy together with a very strong and independent industrial capacity. For the last 3 decades or even longer we have been led in the opposite direction by international organisations (and now even trumped- up “international” law/courts) corrupted by these regimes and our own bad actors and their deluded useful idiots to believe that the climate crisis is most serious and only threat we face and consequently we must commit industrial and hence national security suicide by implementing Net Zero to “save the planet”. Furthermore, the same organisations and bad actors have organised mass immigration and wokery to deliberately weaken our resolve and any resistance by creating an inharmonious and dissonant population many of whom would flee rather than fight or even aid our enemies. To counter all of this we are going to require the scrappage of Net Zero, reverse our de-industrialisation policies and wokery and implement conscription/national service.
March 7, 2026
Of the 11 members of the Military Heirarchy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, 10 are dead.
The only survivor is a man called Brigadier General Esmail Qaani.
It’s said he has accepted MOSSAD’s Employer of the Month award for the longest serving double agent in its history. Multiple pictures of this hero standing at the right hand of the Supreme Leader.
I’m afraid Britain has been left way behind. We are staring at our navels and wringing our hands because our skin is so pale, wishing that our ancestors and grubbed a living in the rubble, while the civilized world has used its brains and courage to engineer is own survival and elevation.
God bless this man Qaani, he has done more to defend little British children from the barbarians than any other man, including Rupert Lowe, who is the ONLY Briton to have lifted a finger in their defence.
March 7, 2026
Sir John, or is it My lord?
As a Brit, albeit on distant shores, I am embarrassed that the UK is being exposed by the current PM as a non-entity on the world stage at this critical time. We all know that his representations are far removed from the underlying sentiments of the vast majority of the British people. How sad that his focus is on appeasing the all too numerous immigrants he has ensured continue to have residence, legal or otherwise, in the UK, so that he can simply keep his job.
Oh, for a ‘Maggie’ at this time!
March 7, 2026
I’m going to take a break. Thanks and best wishes to Lord Redwood.
Lastly, atheist and Conservative commentator Douglas Murray (and others like him) says that Christian Conservatives need to speak out loud and clear (without proselytising or undermining Conservative values) for two reasons 1. There is something very spooky going on with the decline and diminishment of our Christian heritage – in all areas of our life 2. There is something reprehensible about Christian Conservatives who are too scared to defend Christianity overall. Who are what he calls, ‘as it were’ wet Christians (I don’t like the word ‘Christian’ so much – but followers of Christ, perhaps, better).
That is all I am doing here. But taking a break. All I am doing is arguing how we can make UK GREAT (again – in best sense of the word ‘great’). Great in terms of our economy, low debt, low immigration, close families and neighbourhoods, strong arts and culture (and to celebrate and remember and promote, ‘Shakespeare, Jane Austen and Charles Dickens) and sport. strong armed forces and education and health – where the strong have something powerful to aim for in life but the genuinely vulnerable have a safety net, where men are masculine, women – feminine, the importance of sense of humour, patriotism, relying on family instead of state, really helping entrepreneurs, promoting work ethic like the Quakers, the importance of ‘with privilege comes responsibility etc). Where there is much about the British Empire to remember and celebrate. And to learn the lessons of Magna Carta, the English Civil War and to remember and celebrate our heroes of WW2. And where I am inspired to an important degree by people in politics such as Queen Elizabeth I, Churchill, Mrs Thatcher, Edmund Burke, and William Wilberforce – and in particular the great Cyrus the Great and also the wisdoms and lessons to be learned from Joseph of the Old Testament – the second most powerful man in the world.
So apologies if gone over the top at times. All best.

@Ed M – the Christian church, at least the Anglican version went WOKE a few years back. It’s focus is being ‘down with’ the kids pandering to anything and everything other than providing a safe dependable haven in troubled times

“Meanwhile the government promises extra money to repair holes in our defences” very carefully crafted wording used, they will only find the money if they are elected for another term.
Defence spending, i.e. money being removed from the Defence Budget.
Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) £2billion rising to £5-6billion. Chagos deal around £3.5billion. These are both seen as Defence spending costs to come out of the % of GDP. That is the same as 10 new Destroyers
Latest estimate is the the MOD has to find £2.5 billion in savings, as a result of overspending.
£6billion was spent on 2 white elephants(Carriers) that through cost saving cannot function fully due to limited range and not being able to take a full complement of aircraft. Limited to 7-10 days at sea before requiring full replenishment. No air surveillance aircraft, no electronic protection aircraft, no refuelling aircraft. With many decades of experience of real aircraft carriers it is the first time the Government has crippled the concept. The smaller French carrier is a full service facility, full complement of planes fulfilling all functions and range of about 20-25 years with a requirement for food ever 45 days. Food of course can arrive by air anywhere in the world as it is not handicapped by just one type of plane.
As for arctic warfare exercises these happen every year, the guys involved are seasoned professionals at it. At least 50years, with a permanent barracks nowadays. Being diverted for other functions would not hinder anything. The only change this year is a couple of the EU States wanted to show up and 2TK wanted to impress his colleagues in the EU.

157 ‘illegal immigrants’ invaded the UK 6th March 2026 …
March 8, 2026
I wonder if they’ll get to collect their “free” £10,000 reward …. on top of all the other “free things” we’ll give them …. or if we’ll be stuck with them for life?

We once had something called the ‘rule-of-law’

the President of the USA(and his cabinet) has concluded “enough is enough” given many opportunities
for Iran to come to an agreement.Quite clearly he/they have received alarming briefing on matters of
great concern. If I have to trust a person and country it is the USA and the incumbent President.NOT
the unspeakables in Whitehall/Commons and Lords

Come here as an illegal immigrant and get given £ 40,000 deary me, what kind of policy is that?

“This Cannot go on” ……… really, just wait and see, stupidity knows no bounds, this is simply the latest, more will follow !
They actually (yes really) think this is a solution that will have no pull factor.
Many will take it, to prove to them ” it works”
Then more will arrive.

“Ministers decided it was more important to send it to an Arctic exercise than to divert it to the real thing. Don’t they know there is a war on?”
Of course they know – they are deliberately trying to do whistle our unwillingness to fight as a sop to the particular large electorate they have been courting since they won the 2024 election with only 20% voting support from the fanchised voters. Marginally less than Corbyn’s (also 20%) support in 2019.
And that paltry 20% was achieved with many of Labour’s votes being polled several times, or from thousands of miles away, or from people who either do not exist or are dead.

Israel has hacked into Iranian State TV and broadcast an address by Netanyahu:
Prime Minister Netanyahu’s address to the people of Iran: The fateful moment is near, but in that moment, the task is yours, with the brave and oppressed people of Iran.
We do not want to divide Iran; we want to free Iran.
In that moment when you take your destiny into your own hands, two friendly nations will emerge, just as today, in countries around the world, the flag of Israel shines alongside the flag of the Lion and Sun.

Tony Blair rebukes Keir Starmer for not backing Trump on Iran – saying when US needs help ‘you better show up’
March 9, 2026
That is a little naive John. The US plan is clearly to end oil production whichever way it can. The war is the cover story. Remember KIssingers’ words about how to control countries. You’re watching a script.
