I thought the best part of President Trump’s offer to the US people was No more foreign wars. The results of US led interventions in the Middle East in recent years have been poor with the exception of the successful liberation of Kuwait. Biden’s over hasty retreat from Afghanistan leaving the UK and other allies in the lurch was a disaster, throwing away 20 years of fighting and giving full victory to the Taliban. Lebanon, Libya and Syria have struggled to recover from their bitter civil wars. Iraq has managed to establish a more stable government.
His decision to take on Iran seems to have been based on the idea that US/Israeli intelligence and smart weapons were so good that they could kill the leaders of the regime, leading to a change of government and policy more to the liking of the West. This might come about from popular uprising or from the successors to the dead leaders wanting to live and seeing the need to do a deal with the US. The President seemed to think it would be a few days of bombing followed by change.
Instead so far the killing of leaders has led to new leadership as determined to fight and to resist US/Israeli force. The leadership killed many of their own citizens to make it less likely there would be a sustained popular revolt. They decided on the high risk strategy of hitting back at US allies in the Gulf, threatening their oil and gas installations when Iran’s were threatened. They adopted the strategy of controlling the Straits of Hormuz, so Iran could get her oil and gas out and let through oil and gas for her allies, but could throttle the rest. Iran continues to use her proxies and terrorist groups around the Gulf area to attack the US and her allies. So far the US has not come up with an answer to this obvious strategy.
It looks as if the President would like a negotiated settlement where both sides would claim a win. It looks as if Iran has sensed the opportunity to squeeze more out of the US by hanging tough. The US is looking at further military options. Could they get the enriched uranium out in a daring snatch raid? Could they get in to blow up more of the remaining missiles which bombing has been unable to reach? Could they seize Kharg island, Iran’s oil export point, to throttle Iran’s revenues? Could they seize the Iran coast by the Straits and hold it to allow safer passage of ships? Would commercial ships take the risk of passage if convoys were organised? There may be other options. Clearly if one is adopted it needs the element of surprise to give the US a greater chance of success. All of them are high risk, and a failure with one would be a further set back to the idea of getting a sensible negotiated settlement. Reports of troop and naval movements imply there is no thought of a major invasion of Iran as that would take many more soldiers than have been seen on the move.
Running a war to tv schedules from the Oval Office is proving more difficult than the President hoped. The sooner he finds a way out for himself and the US the better. The war is unpopular at home and the mid terms beckon. If he loses the Senate as well as the House as a result of another foreign war he may face an impeachment and a final two years of law fare all the way to his exit. The war is also getting in the way of his major drive to boost the US economy with massive new investment, lower taxes, digital dominance and cheap energy.

As with all so-called Wars, truth and reality leave the room. We know the consequence of the manoeuvres but not the real picture.
Before it kicked of we know, or seem to know about the suppression off the people in Iran by its leaders.
As an aside isn’t that what is happening in the UK by the UK Parliament heading off in directions they have not sort approval for and have no mandate for?
We also have indications that Iran was seeking to arm its self with Nuclear Weapons, they had employed the guy that furnished Pakistan with the nuclear weapon capability A.Q. Khan. Since then there has been IAEA reports of the lack of openness to the directions that Iran is taking. Do we want or need nuclear proliferation in such a volatile part of the world? It would appear POTUS was armed with the information that this was now a serious situation. Someone had to act.
Those that talk as if there is International Law, just talk and talk until the rubicon has past. Because they make money pretending there is such a thing as International Law they crucify whole nations for their own ego.
Now that money. the world economy, is involved due to the blocking of an international seaway(were is the International Law now?) positive action will have to take place from all those affected and not expect the USA to be the Worlds Policeman. Iran just maybe(a big might) if positive action is seen to be happening from a large spread of nations want to create a way our.

In any situation the UK Parliament has made the UK ineffective, it has no effective defence force. As such cant project power. At best it can use mealy mouthed words to suggest it will support others, ‘working-with-our-partners’. These partners now know the UK is the weak link in any arrangement, and at the end of the day will extract an enormous price from the UK.
As 2TK is as weak and indecisive a leader(he is not even the leader that is Miliband) as we have ever seen in the World he will steal more money from the hard working UK people to give, suck up to his imaginary partners elsewhere

Two-Tier assures he is working on a plan to get the Strait of Hormuz re-opened. I’m guessing it involves asking the ICJ to announce that “international law says the war is illegal and it must stop.”
That’ll do it.
March 31, 2026
I’m sure Trump was made aware of the consequences of attacking Iran, particularly the SoH blockage.
America is self sufficient in gas and oil so this matters little. What does matter is the mad Mullahs getting a nuclear bomb. Everyone knows they would be prepared to use it against Israel.
Militant Islam is gaining force throughout the west and Austalasia but instead of confronting it our craven leaders seek their votes.
This is a chance in a lifetime to put Islam back in its box. It may very well turn into a 21st century crusade.

Time for the UN to stand up and coordinate an international response to secure the Straits of Hormuz, otherwise what is its use?
Someone on the radio saying that we will require fossil fuels for years to come. Well, if we can’t get the stuff (and the North Sea can only supply a trickle) we will just have to do without.

Gas and nuclear providing 45% of electricity plus 18% being imported.
As a good chunk of the gas and nuclear are due for retirement within a couple of years, where does the crazy Milibrains think this shortfall will come from.
The imports are costing £121 per mwh versus £35 in USA.

IW : “As a good chunk of the gas and nuclear are due for retirement within a couple of years, where does the crazy Milibrains think this shortfall will come from.”
He, and DESNZ, Ofgem, the CCC and NESO know all of this. They’re all pursuing a scorched earth policy. They call it decarbonisation but the real goal is de-industrialisation. Socialism depends upon making and keeping people poor. As does (Islamic extremism? ed), which is why the Green Party is now a mixture of environmentalists and Islamists.

‘ How does the Iran war end?’
Trump states that the new Iranian leaders are much more prepared to reach a perfect agreement.
On Easter Sunday, Trump says the war is over . He repeats his claim for a Nobel peace prize and adds that perhaps he should now be canonised by the Pope – even though he is not Catholic.
It all ends happily ever after.
March 31, 2026
You should be in parliament, you would fit in wonderfully well. They also think they are clever.
March 31, 2026
I am not convinced that Trump and his advisors were so naïve as “to think it would be a few days of bombing followed by change”. I think they regarded it as a better option than doing nothing until Iran completed their nuclear weapon developments and attacked Isreal.
I am still optimistic that a satisfactory agreement will follow as it is in everyone’s interests but perhaps I am being too naïve!
In the UK it is not the war that is getting in the way of cheap energy it is the moronic policies of Ed Miliband and this government who actually want ever higher prices on fossil fuels so as to phase them out. This will destroy the UK’s economy and ability to defend itself. He seems to think wind and solar) currently supplying about 8% of our total energy) will take over. Even this 8% does not take account the fossil fuels needed to produce and back up (thus running gas less efficiently) this 8% of wind and solar. When you do this then in winter (when most energy is needed) and there is virtually zero solar the figure is more like 4%.

Interestingly the sensible energy advisor Kathryn Porter estimates that “renewables” need about 180 times more grid network in order to deliver energy to consumers. This due to the distances involved, the far greater number of power sources and generally these will run at circa 20% of full capacity due to renewable intermittency and often lowish wind speeds and no sun.
This likely to get even worse if the cold winter weeks demand increases hugely as more people are pushed coerced into use of heat pumps. This capacity then all wasted for most of the rest of the year. How much fossil fuel will be used to provide and maintain this huge extra capacity?
The prime minister has given the British Medical Association (BMA) 48 hours to call off the six-day doctor strike in England after Easter or face losing 1,000 extra training places. Is cutting train places any way to run the NHS Sir Kier. Hopefully this vile man will be gone after May 7th but to be replaced by even worse it seems if that is possible.
If you leave school at 16 and train as say an electrician, gas fitter or roofer you will probably be better of than a doctor at least until about the age of 40. The Doctor will not get any income until about age 24 then they will have circa £100K plus £7K of interest PA of student debt to repay out of taxes income. So 16 years of wages less all the student loans and taxes or wages for 24 years and no student loans. Plus doctors even have to pay for their own exams at say £500 each and some medical equipment.
Now Sir Kier threatens them with fewer training places what a damn fool this Two Tier Kier man is to threaten them in this way! Just resign man.
March 31, 2026
My son a doctor in London was until recently living with two similar age friends one a banker and one working for a law firm but not a lawers- both were paid about three times his salary, more sociable hours and both had only three years of student debt to repay and not six! Nor were they expected to pay for their own exams and equipment for their jobs. Plus they both had a planned/organised career paths and not the random hit and miss joke one that the NHS sort of offers.
Your threats Kier will surely just make the doctors and their unions even more determined. One consultant I know did a years law conversion and now sues the NHS etc. for negligence twice the pay and half the hassle as he put it. Sadly so often high pay goes to entirely the wrong arears totally unrelated to what of value you produce! Consultant doctors get sued by people earning twice what they do taking them away from their jobs.
April 1, 2026
My experience of London hospital doctors is what thoroughly decent and inspiring people they are overall. Money is great but overall doesn’t bring nearly as much satisfaction as helping to heal people and relieve them of their pain. Same for nurses. Kudos to you sir for producing a London doctor especially in this day and age.
April 1, 2026
So often when I’m with such a doctor, I get the feeling: this person really cares about me. Thank you. Where as so often in life, people just sadly don’t care or you just get breadcrumbs. To be happily married, do something you enjoy working at and having a great doctor when you really need one is a great blessing in life. Respect and love to the London doctors (and nurses).
March 31, 2026
@Lifelogic – the enemy is within, highlighted more ways than on when the inept Sir Kier Starmer inferred in a press conference that it was Ed Miliband that is the de-facto leader of the Country in a press conference. No mandate, no authority just mess with the country to cause destruction because the UK Parliament is weak and frightened of its own skin and wont and cant do anything.
“Never in the field of human conflict was so much damage inflicted by so few” – for very personal gain?
March 31, 2026
Your last line fits Trump too!
He starts a war, finds the opponent rather cleverer and able than his advisors thought.
So, he tries bullying Europe to take over his weaknesses discovered. Sadly for him Europe didn’t want the war, so he raises tariffs as punishment when they don’t jump to his commands.
He now says we are on our own to try to unravel the mess he created.
The only response we can make is to stop buying technology including weaponry that might not be used without USA approval. The rift is likely to last at least beyond the next 2 Presidents. The subtle and some not-so-subtle message needs to be explained to him.
April 1, 2026
@Mickey Taking – now that we have deindustrialised that would mean buying from the EU. We don’t make planes, our warships are French equipped and designed, our submarines are French equipped and so on and so on. The EU has a similar veto, last year they banned the sale of the ‘Typhoon’ fighter as it was arranged by the UK.
The US to-date has not banned anything
March 31, 2026
The Pentagon would have war-gamed this over months if not years. They would have also looked at a nuclear armed Iran. I imagine none of the options were attractive but the US is far less dependent on the oil through the Straits than Europe or China. Trump may be many things but I’ve never thought him stupid.
He may understand the minds of people like Putin and Xi far better than the likes of Starmer. Clearly neither worry too much about “International Law” when it suits their needs. The IRGC is ‘religious’ but also corrupt and ruthless. Venezuela teaches us that “regime change” to Trump doesn’t necessitate a different style of leadership, just one that will negotiate (do a deal). Trump has “fired” the old Iranian management and may well be talking to the new ones. “I’ve got you promotion to the top job. You can keep the money and power but these are my conditions…otherwise…”
And yes, Net-Zero has done far more damage to the UK than anything Trump has done so far…
March 31, 2026
@LL. “…until Iran completed their nuclear weapon developments and attacked Isreal.”
What’s your thinking here?
– Is it that Iran would attack Israel conventionally, because it was emboldened by its posession of a nuke?
I don’t think that likely, because they would know the US, with vastly more conventional weapons than Israel, would leap to Israel’s defence.
-Is it that Iran would use nuclear weapons to attack Israel?
I think that is highly unlikely. The Islamic Republic has been very careful in its use of armed force (including by proxy) for 45 years, usually reacting proportionately to attacks or keeping a cap on harrying activities. It has never acted suicidally, always been concerned with its longevity. It knows a nuclear attack on Israel would result in MAD, so I cannot see why they would suddenly lose this strong desire for self preservation by destroying themselves in a nuclear gesture. They may be “bad Mullahs”, but they are not “MAD mullahs”.
March 31, 2026
Iran has bombed 15 countries, it has aimed more at the UAE than at Israel.
Are you attributing rationality to the correctly described ‘mad mullahs’ who welcome death as a victory? Do you think that people who view the destruction of the whole world as an advantage should have the power to enact that end?
March 31, 2026
“The prime minister says a “historic deal” is on offer to doctors and the decision to reject it will damage the NHS”
Is it not “an” historic deal and anyway it is not the doctors damaging the NHS it is political interference, very poor management and absurd structures, endlessly being endlessly sued for poor care especially maternity care, being ‘free’ at the point of need or usually of delay (even to people who have never even paid anything in to it). The NHS get the doctors very cheaply indeed compared to Australia, Canada, USA…

The Ukraine conflict should have been warning enough to all that a quick in and out is not possible in these days of modern electronic unmanned weapons war. Russia thought its sheer size and reputation would be enough to force a quick settlement on their terms, here we are four years on and a meat grinder conflict continues to dominate.
The Iran strike was always going to cause a response of uncertain scale but was certain. Let us hope the lessons from Ukraine are taken on board by the USA.
Sending troops into a war zone is never clean, Iran is not Venezuela.

The Donald has failed to subdue the IRGC because it’s an Israeli war, not American. He launched it to deflect attention from the Epstein files
His Secretary of Defence has set no clear and achievable objectives for an end point. It now looks like the deadly duo are preparing a ground invasion with boots on the ground.
The complication for everyone, particularly NATO, is that Trump is ignoring the now substantial evidence that his chum Putin, the Russian war criminal, is providing targeting intel to the Ayatollah regime. Putting American lives at risk and resulting in the loss of $billions worth of USAF refuelling tankers – and now an E3 Sentry AWACS plane
The third, huge, ‘No Kings’ protests over last weekend do suggest the mid-term elections will be dire for Trump. The GOP will lose control of the Senate, which will mean Trump will again be impeached, possibly for the capital crime of Treason. Trump will then resign the Presidency in favour of JD Vance, who will pardon him
March 31, 2026
SG,
Yes it’s an Israeli war. It could also be a war of choice, unless there is damaging information about Trump that is being used to force his hand.
I am sure both Russia and China provide help to Iran, short of intervention as allies.
I don’t know how the mid terms will go. CNN produced a poll showing 100% support for Trump, which he then thanked them for. This sort of thing used to be a feature in Third World dictatorships.
March 31, 2026
Oh yes, CNN has always supported Trump. Actually the poll showed something in the high 80s, not 100%.
When CNN admits the support, you know it cannot be contested.

March 31, 2026
No more wars is not an option. Islam has been at war against the west – what was once Christendom – since the 7th century. Britain is most definitely a target and Starmer’s Gang is its doormat.
March 31, 2026
It ends in an awful mess, which may take decades to unravel (if at all).
If Trump declares victory and withdraws, after planting a flag on an Iranian Island, he and particularly Israel will still seek to break up Iran. Iran will rush to create a nuclear weapon, North Korea style. Perhaps think the loose analogy is Syria, but with Assad getting a nuclear weapon. Eventually, as collapse looms, that is fired at the attacking proxies’ master (Israel or the US). The masters may decide to strike first.
The problem in the ME links back to Palestine and Israel. While Israel sees the only route to security as becoming the hegemon in “West Asia” and invading & occupying territory from the Euphrates to the Nile, there cannot be peace in the region.
In this context what we refer to as “terrorism” is called “resistance” by the perpetrators, I think with considerable justification. Until Israel agrees to stick to its pre-’67 borders or something close to it, this war -which is just another part of this wider conflict – will never end, but just mutate.
March 31, 2026
President Trump got suckered by the Israelis.
His intention of two or three days destruction followed by a retreat was scuppered by the Israelis continual bombing which turned this into a war.
Another example of President Trump failing to consider external factors. Personally I am now fed up with “let’s make a deal” That only works with rational opponents who have something to lose. Not religious fanatics with only downside to losing.
The only way out now is a full retreat, which the Israelis and President Trump will not countenance.
March 31, 2026
NS,
‘Let’s make a deal’ will not work if you have recently launched an attack when peace talks were in progress.
President Trump may well be owned – not suckered – by Israel and their lobby and Kompromat.
Alternatively, they may be a double act who offer one another as scapegoat when things don’t go to plan.
March 31, 2026
It ends bad for us all – that 77 million people could vote for someone like Trump is shocking. That someone like Trump could be carrying the nuclear codes that could finish the world – well? The Russians went into Ukraine and thought it would be all over in a couple of weeks and the Americans went into Vietnam to shore up the French and save the world from communism but were still there twenty five years later – so how long is a piece of string?
Unfortunately there are people right at the top of the US Military including the Commander In Chief himself who has never experienced war before and who are making the decisions or more importantly are not making the decisions – the Iranians are a resilient people and with 165 schoolgirls killing to avenge? It could be fatal for the Americans if they put boots on the ground – the terrain in Iran is a lot different from the terrain in Iraq – a lot of people could die.
March 31, 2026
The Russians never once predicted a timescale.
People like you predicted a timescale.
These are very different wars, and Putin was asked why he was not helping Iran. He said ‘there are two million Russians in Israel, it’s almost a Russian speaking country.’
Not one Islamic country has gone to defend Iran.
Only France, Spain, Italy and The UK are actively opposing the rest of the world in Iran’s defence.
April 1, 2026
Faced with a choice between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, I’d vote Trump every time.
March 31, 2026
“The Iran War”. ????
It’s not about Iran.
It’s the march forward of a return of the dominance of what was once the caliphate.
GB News have shown an interview with Ayaan Hirsi Ali, well worth a watch, and well worth heeding.
March 31, 2026
I suspect Trump saw Iran as a skirmish rather than a war, but yes he is risking a great deal, not alone his reputation and leaving himself open to attacks which his enemies wasted no time in doing.
If he uses his troops and they get into trouble his woes will be even greater, so he is going to be very careful how he uses them.
Unfortunately, taming Iran was a big part of his keeping America safe campaign, and a very necessary one. It has also exposed the falseness of NATO and stroppy attitude from European leaders, especially Starmer who commits to a war against Russia from his own bitterness and misguided excuses for what is legal.
America now sees the UK as a waste of space and other countries are benefitting from a closer relationship.
How will Iran end? Soon I hope, with a friendlier government that will treat their own better and not spread terrorism or nuclear bombs around. It will be interesting to see how many layers of leaders are willing to set themselves up for being killed if they do not cooperate.
March 31, 2026
Russia is blaming the UK for real special operational strikes that have massively damaged Baltic Sea oil and gas exporting ports.
So much for Starmer keeping us safe and staying out of wars.
March 31, 2026
Putin and Trump are acting in unison.
Europe will never be attacked (except by Islam) but will be brought to her knees.
I think Putin and Trump view the European citizenry in that same way that they view the Persians – hostages to malign forces.
They seek to bring down the ‘leaders’ of Europe and to free us.
April 1, 2026
Not all bad then?
March 31, 2026
Good morning.
The war has been brought to Iran’s door, as alluded to by our kind host. I am no military expert but, victory looks very different from either side. For the Iranian government (not people), all they have to do is remain in power. For the USA and Israel it is a little more complex. They need regime change plus, the removal of the WMD program and missile capability.
But if you really want to bring the regime down then have to do two things. Arm the people against their government and, put boots on the ground to train and support them. And I see no sigh of that.
March 31, 2026
Plenty of sign of just that. Persian groups, well armed are taking to the streets and taking down badij teams. Have you not seen the fils posted on X?
April 1, 2026
A video on X or YT does not constitute as a revolution. Not even close.
People are dying for their freedom and your fantasy.
March 31, 2026
The war is necessary to stop the fanatics who govern Iran from getting nuclear weapons.
As most of Iran’s population does not support the regime it can be toppled by a different military strategy to what is being suggested which avoids most of the threat from missiles and drones which the useless alternatives contemplated by journalists and our ex-military (useless) commentators would expose the American army to. I know I am being cryptic here but I don’t want to spell out what I mean in case that could help the Iranian regime by pointing out where they seem militarily most vulnerable.
March 31, 2026
Dream on.
March 31, 2026
“I thought the best part of President Trump’s offer to the US people was No more foreign wars.”
This is true but President Trump has realised that leaving the dreadful Iranian regime to develop and build missiles with nuclear warheads as well as supporting/funding endless terrorism all over the ME and elsewhere was no longer an option. Just as we finally decided in September 1939 we had to stop the Nazi regime in Germany.
March 31, 2026
As with Biden and Afghanistan this war could be Trumps nemesis. Netanyahu has been hoping for this war for forty years, Trump has foolishly fulfilled this aspiration. I believe this to be a huge miscalculation. Iran is a vast country, it borders Russia that borders China. It closely borders Middle East states supplying critical oil and gas supplies throughout the world. These Western leaning Ststes are vulnerable especially their salination plants. America’s involvement in foreign wars has been disastrous from Vietnam to Iran. They were instrumental in the 2014 Midan coup in Ukraine and had detailed plans to expand NATO resulting in all out war in Ukraine. Foreign wars destabilise nations, look at Iraq, Libya, Syria and Afghanistan with huge ramifications for European nations. UK reluctance to get involved in this conflict has been justified. Trump deserves to lose the mid terms and be impeached for this illegal war.

Excellent. Another policy by the treacherous Two-Tier bites the dust.
March 31, 2026
Without knowledge of the intelligence that President Trump had, we don’t know why he acted now. But Iran armed with nuclear weapons would lead to the total destruction of Israel. That would definitely lead to WW3, as the Middle East exploded in flames. The logical step would be to seize Karg Island and cut off the income of the extreme rulers of Iran. That may lead to the collapse of this evil regime that happily slaughtered 30,000 plus of its own people 3 or 4 months ago. The war cannot end until the people of Iran are free.
But the war also shows our vulnerability to fossil fuels, because Miliband is obsessed with wind and solar. We should drill in the North Sea, reopen our coal mines and use it all while planning to replace it all with nuclear power over the next 10 years. But with government by third raters, I am not holding my breath!
March 31, 2026
These are NOT new leaders, each Islamic Regime leader had 5 named successors.the 5th level are now being annihilated.
Finishing a war is NOT the same as starting a war. Indeed it brings peace, so Trump true to his word.
Members of NATO of course have been exposed. Not only did they not help, they actually took action to hinder this critical and imperative war.
So NATO is over – the first thing these childish European Political class are going to have to learn is to keep their stupid mouths shut.
Trump: “All of those countries that can’t get jet fuel because of the Strait of Hormuz, like the United Kingdom, which refused to get involved in the decapitation of Iran, I have a suggestion for you: Number 1, buy from the U.S., we have plenty, and Number 2, build up some delayed courage, go to the Strait, and just TAKE IT. You’ll have to start learning how to fight for yourself, the U.S.A. won’t be there to help you anymore, just like you weren’t there for us. Iran has been, essentially, decimated. Lynn is right. You don’t negotiate with an apocalyptic death cult because there will nothing to negotiate about unless they are stopped, and because in the meantime they look at the world differently from you, something the West never gets.
March 31, 2026
John says ‘It looks as if the President would like a negotiated settlement where both sides would claim a win’. Probably at this stage President Trump would like it to look like that. However it doesn’t look like that to me. I agree with the Iranian Leader who said Trump is talking about peace while preparing for military invasion by ground forces.
Why do I think that? Because he would not have provided a checklist of 15 conditions (some of them humiliating to the Iranian regime) against which to mark off what is obtained in any peace settlement (he wouldn’t want to be accused of say only achieving 3 or 4 of his publicly set out conditions). Trump spoke of the importance of surprise in this initial assault on Iran and I think he is probably working to a strategy of surprise over an escalation of the conflict.

‘Assured of’ by whom? The US intelligence services say there was no evidence that Iran was seeking to build nuclear weapons. How come you know better, Glen?
March 31, 2026
We do not know what the Americans have planned or are currently planning.
One thing we can be assured of is that Iran was intent on building nuclear weapons and long-range delivery systems. The obvious conclusion is that once achieved, they could threaten the West and the rest of the world, and once obtained, they would not be attacked under threat of nuclear war. They had to be stopped.
It took a strong USA leader to assess the situation and act upon it. ‘No action now’ is too scary to contemplate.
They have been terrorising the world for the past 40+ years with no challenge until the past year.
Our PM suggests that this is not our war, yet he’s able to accept the 20+ Iranian terror attacks in OUR country over the past 4 years, backed by the IRCG, and prevented by our own MI5 security services. And refuses to join the EU and our allies in proscribing that savage IRGC. Our HR Lawyer PM is a danger to our country who hides behind foreign laws rather than protecting his Nation and its citizens.

Good clear summary, Derek.

As with the wars on HAMAS and Hezbollah, there seem to be two wars going on against the IRGC: one for the official classes fed by the MSM, and one for those who are interested in the course of the war. Right at the beginning, Trump said it would not be like Venezuela but would take at least 4 or 5 weeks. He and his administration have since added more weeks. It is the media who said a few days. Trump is the master of confusing the enemy. That inevitably means confusing the enemy at home as well.
If people want to know what is going on they could always try following Netanyahu and the Crown Prince. Also Israeli generals who are in the know, and British Iranians. They really won’t get much enlightenment form Ayatollah BBC as the Iranians call it, or Qatar funded Sky News.
