Happy easter

Christians rejoice for the resurrection of Christ. Most of the nation enjoys easter eggs and a special Easter lunch as families get together to enjoy a four day break. The Easter stories celebrate the triumph of life over death, good over evil, Christian values over the heavy handed Roman colonial government that crucified Jesus,  and the rites of spring. There is something for every UK citizen in this end of winter holiday.

I think Resurrection should start with a capital.

May I extend to you and your family my best wishes for a happy Easter Lord Redwood.
I would also like to thank the Lord for answering so many prayers around the world for the safe rescue of the downed US airman. It is fitting he was rescued from his peril today.

The Chritian church in England needs to get back to preaching fire and brimstone. Saints and sinners.

The institution can still (just about) withstand the brick bats of the diversity crowd but not the slow death spiral of its disappearing flock.

Congregations want certainty and direction that fits in with their own prejudices, not acceptance of all.

The church should be a unifier not an alienator. No other religion waters down its message to appease outsiders.

Happy Easter to all, Jesus is risen to absolve you of your sins but the Lord expects you to repent.

When did we last have a sensible sound CofE Bishop? The new Bishop of Cantab. seems even worse than the last couple we suffered from.

Happy easter John; may you continue with your eminently good sense. The country needs it very badly.

Happy Easter M’Lord and to all the commentators.

It’s a lovely sunny day down in Dorset; my solar-powered water-fountain is doing the biz and I’ll be out in the garden later planting my summer veggie crop as the risk of frost now appears to have passed.

Happy Easter to every one whatever religious indoctrinations and belief systems or none they have chosen to believe. At least we get some good music on Radio 3 and the BBC at Easter. If only they would ditch their deluded wrong, wrong, wrong political propaganda.

    The rites of spring?
Yes Stravinsky experienced a Christian revival in the mid 1920s but that was long after the thoroughly pagan Rite of Spring (1913).
I am very glad to see several people like Gavin Ashenden – even a Bishop – reminding the King that Islam is the antithesis of Christianity. If Charley boy does not recant from his reverence for Islam it will soon be time for his abdication. The sovereign must uphold the Christian faith. Charley Boy, clearly, does not and does not wish to. I knew him slightly when he was playing with his ouija board. He has been weird ever since.
