As I flipped the pages on the 1500 blockbuster response to the Humble Address I was amazed at how many near blank pages there were. They might have enticing indications of messages and conversations, but there was no material to or from the Prime Minister about the crucial matters of how he chose Lord Mandelson, what he was told about Lord Mandelson when making the appointment, what he asked to be done to carry out due diligence, or what conversations he had with Lord Mandelson before and after appointment. The conversations with the PM’s Chief of Staff, a key advocate of Mandelson’s appointment, are also missing.
I have no problem with the suppression of briefing material and commentary about the US and about events and meetings Lord Mandelson held as Ambassador where state secrets were exchanged or where there were mentions of items that would harm the UK if they were revealed. I do have problems if there are cases of witholding any information about the circumstances of the appointment, the risks involved, the mitigations required in the light of the risks. Where are the documents to support the decision to make a political appointment, to check out the candidate, and to handle his declared interests? Nor should we be spared the conversations between UK Ministers about the state of the government and the impact of the appointment, however embarrassing. We have seen some of that.
There are also important policy matters that need to be examined. I was pleased to see Lord Mandelson was proposing change of economic policy to get some growth, and was rightly critical of the government’s approach to tax, spend, benefits and business. We have not seen reports of conversations and meetings about EU re set and the interplay between the EU and the US which must have been central to some of his work as Ambassador to the US. During his period as Ambassador President Trump became more critical of the EU and wanted to give them harsher treatment than the UK over trade. What was said about this between Ambassador and Prime Minister? How did EU re set affect the negotiaitons they were holding with the US?
June 3, 2026
Is he still *Lord* Mandelson?
June 3, 2026
Mandelson is no longer a member of the House of Lords, but the title lingers, needing an Act of Parliament to relinquish it. However sticky and inappropriate the title is in his case, it blatantly signals the ignominy of his disgrace with yet more to be revealed.
June 3, 2026
All the hassle of the Humble Address yet still they get away with redacting so much that should not have been. They still evem refuse to release deaths health data broken down by Covid vaccine status and dates/age groups for entirely bogus reasons. This as these would almost certainly show that the COVID vaccines did huge net harms as we can see from other worldwide statistics that have been released. Which is why, I assume, they are so strongly resisting.
Sir Keir Starmer’s official spokesman has stated outright that “there is no such thing as two-tier policing,” emphasizing that police forces must treat everyone equally.
Attorney General’s Remarks: Lord Hermer directly addressed the allegations, describing the “two-tier” claims as “frankly disgusting”.
Sir Two Tier and Hermer it is not Farrage inciting trouble it is your blatant lies above that is disgusting & whipping up trouble. Two Tier DEI justice is blatant and enshrined in the Police’s own National Police Chief Council documents, also the right to carry religious knives in law and the sentencing guidelines (later withdrawn) and sentencing in practice 31 months for Lucy Connolly fast tracked by Starmer.

LL, the news that the head of the police union i.e. The police Federation, was arrested and has now been sacked from his £700,000/year job for alleged corruption is also noteworthy. Who knew the 140,000 strong police force needed a union boss with such a noteworthy salary eh? We await developments of how the case against Mukund Krishna evolves with interest….
Reply He denies the allegations fully
June 3, 2026
@Lifelogic – is it ‘two-tier policing’ or ‘two-tier Law’. Or it could be the numpties that impose the training. My observation is that the senior management of the police have never done the job, but get to dictate under the guise of DEI protocols handed down by government as to how to run a force. The Country the Taxpayer is spending a fortune on DEI & HR at its core these diktats and direction start by preaching ‘discrimination’. The complete opposite of what this cult wants those they manipulate to believe. It a bit how the way the ECHR is imposed, discriminate and punish the majority by taking away their rights first.
June 3, 2026
DEI …..and some are just a little more equal
June 3, 2026
“Educated” into stupidity which whatever is fashionable within the group think college of policing (many of whom have probably never done the job of a police constable but thing they know best). Those who can do those who often cannot teach – as they often say.
June 3, 2026
Passing the Buck? Who is it in Parliament that holds the Execrative to account, (the PM, The Home Secretary, the Cabinet) choses to ignore what the are sanctioning when it is their job to know?
MPs have blamed guidance, published by the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) last year, for the actions of officers who arrested Mr Nowak, 18, for alleged racial abuse as he lay dying.
The guidance advises officers to treat ethnic minorities differently, stating that a commitment to “racial equity” does not mean “treating everyone the same or being colour blind”.
What stretch of imagination would suggest that TwoTierLaw doesn’t exists when it is explicitly in the published Guidance?
Sir Kier Starmer’s whole ‘Plan’ is based on stoking up division and discrimination, the very thing he tries to foist on others. He could stop it, but he refuses.
June 3, 2026
‘Sir Keir Starmer’s official spokesman has stated outright that “there is no such thing as two-tier policing,” emphasizing that police forces must treat everyone equally.’
If ever there was an untruth – in the light of the latest tragic police investigation – it is brought into sharp relief.
June 3, 2026
With this government I find myself constantly asking myself is this minister really that moronic & deluded or is he just lying for some unknow reason or vested interest!
This with our growth, growth, growth but Doomloop Chancellor, Ed (most expensive energy in the world) Miliband and his claim of 1 million green jobs, the appalling Lord Hermer, Bridget Phillipson (pretendigng private school users were getting a tax break and her VAT policy would raise net revenues) and now Sir Kier Starmer’s reply to Farage today – “I do not believe there is two tier policing” then trying, pathetically, to suggest Farage was going against the wishes of the very dignified victim’s father’s wishes.
He fools no one and sounds more and more pathetic/evil/dishonest by the day.
June 3, 2026
+1 a blatant lie surely.
June 3, 2026
MT,
“Sir Keir Starmer’s official spokesman has stated outright that “there is no such thing as two-tier policing,”
‘Well he would say that, wouldn’t he?’
June 3, 2026
The Court of Appeal even decided that 31 months was not “manifestly excessive” for a first offence, of a silly but very mild tweet, made in the heat of the moment after Southport, very rapidly withdrawn, a first offence, load of mitigating factors (she herself had lost a baby with the NHS) and she even pleaded guilty early (she was coerced into this). Multiple rapes of 14 year old girls however no jail terms given at all.
Then we have Lucy Letby – where do they recruit these judges from? The Judges should surely be charged with bringing the legal and justice system into total contempt.
June 3, 2026
It was interesting that Mandleson was involved with Powell over the Chagos fiasco. Etc ed
I do hope when we get a proper government that all these redactions are exposed so we can see the extent of betrayal by this odious man
Watching the PM comment on the young lad who was handcuffed after being stabbed made me feel sick. A situation he did so much to encourage. I note he didn’t take the knee.
June 3, 2026
Ian
Agreed on TTK and Henry Nowak. TTK Took the knee for a foreign criminal but said nothing about a young Englishmen and the way he was treated. We also must not forget the late Peter Lynch who, was treated much the same way.
With every iteration of PM they just keep getting worse and worse.
June 3, 2026
biggest problem is that so many politicians phones have supposedly been stolen, suspiciously when data is needed from them. and the prime minister is revealed to be using WhatsApp with auto delete of messages setup. er that’s not a secure way for a pm to be passing messages, and auto delete fails the smell test.
June 3, 2026
Given many of these politicians spend much of their time in London, the claim of a stolen phone is highly believable.
June 3, 2026
..and some interested/concerned citizens might tell you that GCHQ can locate, hear & read every phone in the UK, but maybe thats just from a movie
June 3, 2026
depends if the individual is using encryption apps or not… or apps which encrypt automatically
its perfectly easy to have encrypted voice calls, as long at the person you are speaking to takes similar action
encrypted messages are easy, but dont use SMS or WhatsApp, lol
but yes GCHQ harvests vast amounts of calls and messages to trawl through, far more than they need, and a lot of it intrusive in ways which would upset the public if it was ever front page news
(c) the blomming obvious public domain stuff
June 3, 2026
Good Morning,
Never fear Lord J, Lady Nugee is on the case! I heard the good minister being interviewed over the weekend and she WANTS TO KNOW, how Mandelson went from being an outside runner to being the only name in the frame. She admits she thinks it’s all McSweeney’s doing, gratitude to his former master.
What the papers do tell is the mismanagement, incompetence and lack of ideas the No. 10 office is under Starmer; as if we didn’t know! ‘Just find more ways to tax the peasants’, is the plan!
June 3, 2026
As the current chair of the foreign affairs select committee, she was by-passed, and ignored
June 3, 2026
Perhaps Hermer and Starmer have not seen the vile National Police Chief’s Council (NPCC) strategy document regarding how officers should approach different communities. The text states: “Producing equality of policing outcomes for people from different ethnic groups by responding to individuals and communities according to their specific needs, circumstances and experiences… It does not mean treating everyone ‘the same’ or being ‘colour blind’ (racial equality).” Blatant two tier justice that has led directly to several deaths and huge resentments.
I blame this top down guidance more than the junior police officers at the scene – true they made bad errors but only briefly for a couple of minutes while they tried to size up the true picture. Perhaps they had dealt with thousands of situations and got all of the others right other. We all make the odd error, “let him without sin cast the first stone”. I left my hand brake off in the car once and the dog’s movement set it off down the road. Fortunately no harm or injury resulted.
June 3, 2026
I liked the social media post replying to the black police officers association… it simply said that there is no white police officers association and that in itself shows that the system is racist.
June 3, 2026
@Lifelogic – ‘Producing equality’ All DEI efforts have a starting base of ‘Discrimination’, their right to discriminate against the majority. It seeks to create division, drive wedges between people. It the modern version of Socialist Politics, by having a ‘them & us’ at its core
June 3, 2026
The Equality Act 2010 framed what we’ve become now, it encouraged division, it encouraged separation …I’d suggest it did the complete opposite of what it was designed ….the same is true for the ECHRs
June 3, 2026
Exemption to carry weapons, building regs, dress regs, driving regs, taxation, visa regs, planning regs, food regs, killing animals regs etc etc ….its time religion was put on a level playing field with the people….no exemptions in law
June 3, 2026
The lady on GB News at 7 last night as ‘balance’ was indignant at the suggestion that the police were acting in favour of racial minorities. “Where is the evidence?” She kept asking. As ex personal assistant to Paddy Ashdown she must read the Guardian and listen to the BBC.
June 3, 2026
The fact that Sir Two Tier Keir even considered Mandelson for the ambassador roll tells us rather a lot about Starmer’s total lack of judgement and his levels of sanity!
June 3, 2026
I am getting info’ that suggests that TTK was heavily pressured by Morgan Mc Sweeny.
June 3, 2026
I’ll tell you all you need to know about Mandelson, He is and always was a shady character (i’m trying to be polite)
The fact Starmer thought he was the man for the job, shows a complete lack of intelligence and the cover-up continues.
June 3, 2026
Starmer is always calling Tommy Robinson “a convicted fraudster” it was actually a conviction for misleading information on a mortgage application. Did Starmer or the authorities or the DPP properly look into Mandelson’s mortgage when he had to first resign?
June 3, 2026
The government issuing a whitewashed account in three volumes of largely blank paper is typical of their deception and waste.
June 3, 2026
The idea this process would reveal anything of significance (the humble address) was always over optimistic.
Once the government were placed in this ‘tell all’ situation they simply went into avoidance at all cost mode.
Even the police are involved with statements demanding certain information be withheld due to ‘ongoing criminal investigations’ involving Mandelson. Some might say how very convenient, I could not possibly comment….
From McSweeney’s conveniently lost phone, to details re Starmer’s WhatsApp process protocol of automatic elimination of content, plus the ongoing criminal investigation and finally the filtering activity put in place to ensure no meaningful detail is revealed, we are witnessing the circling of the wagons.
The only juicy bit of context communications with the Mandelson affair tells us something we already knew, i.e. Labour are constantly fixated at every meeting with who to tax next… That is it, the sum total of the wait reveals nothing new.
Perhaps John can tell us the estimated cost of this exercise just to brighten our day that little bit more.
Reply They said £1 m so far to provide a few docs. That will not include the police investigation.
June 3, 2026
“The Mandelson Papers do not tell us much”
Are you really surprised John, as this is par for the course with this Government, and some previous ones, spin, lies, cover up’s, and a refusal to answer even a basic question clearly and properly,
And then they wonder why people distrust most Politicians, and why their ratings are down !
June 3, 2026
I try to find a shred of reason that Sir Keir Starmer should either be a Sir or be anywhere near a position of power over other people’s lives. Since the moment he denied and tried to overturn a democratic vote in this country, I’ve found no reason whatsoever. Every passing day proves me right. We replaced an intelligent though slightly misguided PM in Sunak with a dolt.
Reply He won a seat in Parliament and led his party to a big win.
June 3, 2026
Article in the FT yesterday quote
Downing Street on Tuesday said the prime minister
Does use disappearing messages
Including at least three other cabinet ministers
June 3, 2026
Starmer still expects he can hide from the repercussions of his decision to appoint Mandelson, by elusive means while pretending to answer questions. Perhaps the blank pages tell us all we need to know. If we aren’t allowed to see what was on the blank pages perhaps that is because the data was so damaging to the PM, and we should consider that makes Starmer fully complicit.
In any case we are seeing yet more deception, more smoke and mirrors from our most disloyal PM.
The disposal of the current PM is taking far too long, giving him far too much time to work on his legacy and make his agreements with with those that we’d rather not have as our masters. It could be months yet before he is pushed – why doesn’t our unwritten constitution have a means of cancelling this most ill begotten government?
June 3, 2026
No surprises that information is missing, hidden or deleted.
Before any of this was put in the public domain emails and letters that could ruin Starmer, implicate Mandelson or reduce Wes Streeting’s chances of becoming PM to zero would have been permanently removed.
June 3, 2026
‘do not tell us much’ isn’t this what feeds the TwoTier view of being our ruler? Everything is as interpreted by one individual as to what the Minions should know, how they should act, and how the Law applies to them. The fact they are the paymaster has no bearing on anything.
I am all for secrecy when it is defence, but as we have been exposed and can no longer defend ourselves there is very little that should be redacted. What Parliament should step back and absorb is it is not ‘their’ country exclusively it is ours – everyone’s. What parliament should also take on board is that if their chosen government, (the people never chose it) has not briefed them fully on everything it is doing, it is they(Parliament) that is failing. How can Parliament hold the Excitative to account, its only job and purpose, if it doesn’t know what it is doing. What is also in Parliaments gift is to remove its appointed government, Parliament does the hiring and firing.
To much kowtowing to a ‘gang’ Boss, to much personal self interest ego, to much on the next general election, has warped a Parliament from having a purpose. TwoTier Puppets
June 3, 2026
Agree – two tier religion, two tier police, two tier culture, two tier society
June 3, 2026
From what I can tell (media response only) it seems to me that the latest release tells us much more about the Labour party than they do about the vetting process.
Pointless exercise but refreshingly damaging to those involved
June 3, 2026
This government is as transparent as a blank A4 sheet …..comtempt for the humble address, comtempt for the commons, comtempt for the people & democracy
June 3, 2026
That the Mandelson papers consisted of “near blank pages” and consequently tell us nothing is hardly a surprise given that the redaction committee, the Intelligence & Security Committee, is composed, bar one who is a member of the CCC and the UK’s low carbon business ambassador, of Uniparty members. I would like to see the correspondence the Government had with China over the Mandelson appointment to be ambassador to the USA.
Reply Many of the redacted docs had not been to the ISC
June 3, 2026
The purpose of the humble address was to investigate the process by which Mandelson was appointed. It seems extraordinary then that in the thousands of documents released virtually none cover communications to or from Starmer himself. Has there been any explanation of why ? Mandelson also refused to hand over his personal phone, but surely the police should have that shouldn’t they ?
June 3, 2026
Sadly, the Mandelson papers reveal utter incompetence in this Labour Government and the dishonesty involved in the cover-up. What serious PM and Ministers use WhatsApp to exchange messages, knowing they will be deleted.
Where are the Civil Service in all this? Are they not supposed to keep PMs and Ministers on the straight and narrow? Are they not supposed to keep records of all government meetings?
However bad we may have thought Starmer was, we now know he is much worse. How can he have become PM and appointed such inadequate Ministers? The whole Mandelson situation, from start to finish, shows why people have very little trust in our MPs. I repeat, what does it say about our education system that people can become MPs with no understanding of the economy, of the dangers of debt, and no care about the world situation! They seem to be completely ignorant of the need for a strong defence, energy independence and as close to food independence as we can get. When the blind lead the blind, they both fall in the ditch!
June 3, 2026
Kieth
The simple fact is Starmer is not a leader and never will be, he is wedded to the law, and he does not think outside of it, other than to make/modify even more laws.
He is not a free thinker, neither is he capable of original thought, as he has spent all his working life following and interpreting written instructions by others.
June 3, 2026
the auto-delete function on What’s App should be banned for use by ministers, as it destroys entire records of government. I note that a previous report stipulated that ministers should use auto-delete ‘with care’.
Well now, there we have the problem of civil service scrutiny in a nutshell: to use such a stupidly subjective and ambiguous word in such a vital context… Of course the ministers have used that phone function ‘with care’. With enormous care for their own convenience and personal reputations! In any decent country, the PM and indeed the whole government would now be forced to resign.
June 3, 2026
Wow Elon Musk tweets and replies on X are spot on.
That guy deserves a medal.
June 3, 2026
John,
Since you are good at the financial stuff you should do a critical review of the chancellors raids on our pension funds, and inheritances.
Cheers
June 4, 2026
Lord Redwood says he was amazed at the number of blank pages. Coverups, and false propaganda are the mainstay of communist/socialist regimes the whole world over throughout history. What did you expect?
