I will watch. The communication between bloggers and yourself gives us an insight into others opinions. Some say you are proselytising , however it could be those with similar feelings about our world simply come together. In the meantime Bach with his Mass, Matthew and Johns passion , will keep me going for the weekend and make me feel very pious.

If the BBC just played Bach, Monteverde, Byrd and the likes and cut out the dumbed down, lefty, PC, greencrap, pro EU totally misguided politics then I would be more than happy to pay the licence fee.

@LL; “If the BBC just played Bach, Monteverde, Byrd and the likes [../rant/..] I would be more than happy to pay the licence fee.”
You don’t need to pay the licence fee to listen to Radio 3, or any other radio station for that matter, and have not since 1971 – do try and keep up over there in the CI’s!…

Good .. will it include the Q&A?
March 31, 2018
I believe I saw it on YouTube. If I remember correctly Mr Speaker made an introduction which appeared to be precisely…exactly the amount of time a speaker dreams of timing so well. Also polite. Full stop.He has his good points
April 1, 2018
If he does have his good points than he keeps them very well hidden.

Mr Speaker strikes me as extremely intelligent, beyond most people, I dare say myself included. One is most reluctant to add a qualifier “But…”
Best said, I frankly do not understand his opposition to Trump. Only if he believes our own media. BUT he is too intelligent for that! Seeing Trump, ages ago, and in his modern rallies which I am rich enough in time to do, he is the very opposite of Mr Speaker’s expressed view on him.

Thank you John…I will look forward to it.

Thanks, I will set that to record.

Watched it first time round and the typical bias bbc had missed off your Q & A section, so I quess that must have had something in it they didn’t want the viewers to be aware of
March 31, 2018
@Mick; A typical ill-informed, anti BBC, bias comment. 🙁
I suspect that the problem is that they did not have proper Q&A microphones at the venue, thus only those at the lectern are picked up properly on the broadcasters recording meaning the Q&A gets edited out for TX – don’t blame the broadcasters for technical issues beyond their control, complain to Mr Speaker!.
March 31, 2018
Mind you it is amazing how often these ‘technical problems’ occur when someone is speaking in favour of a topic that the BBC is against – and how few the converse.
April 1, 2018
@Weejonnie; Did you watch Mr Blair giving his lecture, if yours and @Mick’s ‘theory’ had any feel we would have got the whole nine yards of pro-EU Q&As along with the speech but nothing.

BBC bias is now very much the other way . Let us not forget that half of the country have not changed their view do not support Brexit. This is a fairly astonishing fact given the carpet bombing Soviet style” good news” both from the Press and the BBC.
The BBC has fallen into line , terrified , no doubt of the consequences of failing to support the view of both main parties and not immune to relentless threats both form the Marxist side and the Nationalists.

I doubt that many people would put their cross in the other box if by some means we could all go back and vote again. The country is still quite evenly divided about the wisdom of leaving the EU, taking it in the round. However a great majority disagree with you and your anti-democratic friends and just want the government to get on and do what it promised in the leaflet it sent to every household in the land:
“This is your decision. The Government will implement what you decide.”

Last time round I picked up John’s lecture on iplayer. So, if you cannot make the live broadcast then you may have another opportunity. It is worth it. mr Bercow’s comments are notable. But JR’s are of course better.

Blair and Labour built their client state when in office. We need a conservative Eurosceptic MP to lead our party and then build a anti-client state that dilutes and undermines Labour and its client base. Another Thatcher revolution is now badly required
First on the agenda. Get rid of this appalling PM.
Second. Get the UK out of this appalling political and economic straitjacket namely the EU
Third. Slash income and Corp tax
Fourth. Reform the public sector
Five. Target labour across the board including its funding and the number of MPs
Six. Legislate to protect freedom of speech and the freedom of the press. Legislate to remove hate-crime laws which are an authoritarian attack on a person’s freedom of speech

Just realised’ have seen this lecture before.
