How about you stop importing the kind of people who carry out violent crime due to their involvement in criminal activities, or because of their cultural background (both legal and illegal)?

    Just asking.

I could make the argument that HMRC should be checking flights from certain tax-havens carefully for those who regard paying income tax as optional. Is that the “cultural background” you mean?

The simple answer is ten years in prison with no parole if you carry or use a knife to Injure or kill, & twenty years in prison with no parole if you carry or use a gun.

The number of deaths registered in the UK in the week ending 2 June 2023 was 10,155, which was 11.3% above the five-year average (1,034 excess deaths). The ONS.

Ian Murray MP talking compete drivel about energy policy and green jobs/revolution, wind power on Julia Hartley Brewer today. How many times do I have to hear ignorant, mad, art graduate politicians (Tory, Labour, SNP, Plaid, SDP, Green…) talking complete and utter clap trap on energy and green crap?

Didn’t catch your contribution to the debate in the House last evening – heard Rees-Mogg a little but he was disappointing not up to his usual – a disappointing turnout from the tories all round – I noticed that Sunak left the Ms May and Mordant to do most of the heavy lifting for the party – shame

While violent crime is a problem we could well do without ‘stop & search’, which in US parlance without probable cause is just an abuse by authority figures.

I have seen the Police in action with this concept and it is not very nice and it doesn’t win over hearts and minds (A friend of mine just in front of me and heading to the same formal meeting(suit and tie/smart), in a part of the Country that neither of us have any connection to was subject to this form of abuse. His crime, not being of the same ethnicity as the Police)

The knives and even the guns involved in these incidences are illegal in the UK, yet it makes no difference. The Courts downplay the act of possession as somewhere well beihind motorway speeding. You could reason the Police are to busy ensuring safe passage to those for the most part are sponsored by foreign donors(they are usually called terrorist in those instances) to disrupt the UK instead of being visible elsewhere.

Doubly off topic, from September 2019:

“Off topic, I have this little letter in the Maidenhead Advertiser …

“I am no fan of Boris Johnson, far from it, but how can it be right for a politician to say one thing but do another, and then stay silent while her successor is pilloried for the dire situation she bequeathed to him?””

Yesterday she reached a new pinnacle of hypocrisy.

It is basic requirement of civilisation that all UK streets ought to feel safe at any time of day, but they aren’t. The authorities ignore many criminal acts enabling lawlessness to thrive. ‘No go’ areas have been created and expanded. Crime has become far too prevalent, and tolerated as if it is an everyday instance of bad luck for the victim. Capture and punishment need to be harsh and swift to begin restoring the balance to what used to be a happy society living in freedom and harmony.

If there is a ‘wider strategy’ to tackle violent crime, or even non violent crime, it is not a very visible one.

Much traditional crime like burglary is simply ignored and victims are fobbed off with a crime number which is of no use whatsoever.

Sentencing for crime is very soft in this country compared to the United States for example.

With our politicised police force we now have ‘anarcho tyranny’. Police interfere on behalf of fashionable causes. Anti car protests and Black Lives Matters demonstrators are protected by the police rather than being arrested. Police are currently deciding the weighty issue of whether to charge Laurence Fox over burning a few flags in his back garden.

Laws that are supposed to protect ordinary citizens against ordinary criminals routinely go unenforced, even though the state is perfectly capable of doing so. While this problem rages on, government elites concentrate their interests on law-abiding citizens.

Meanwhile violence and street crime is widespread and growing.

Labour and the Left that now control our country with of course the silent endorsement of the Tory government (‘going with the narrative’) have turned this and every other issue into a race issue rather than one of simple CRIMINALITY. Criminals are now victims and those who want to see justice done are labelled racists, bigots and far right extremists.

Politicise even life itself and the fascist Left can assert control over that as well. There is now zero opposition to the power of the Left and when Labour come into office they will unleash the full force of their realignment agenda. Labour in Australia are doing precisely this with the Voice

I watched Parliament in action yesterday, concerning the debate on the ‘Partygate’ Report.
The fine posturing is impressive – much talk about democracy being based on truth from the Despatch Box. But when we consider the veiled duplicity that emanates from Parliament these days on so many issues, whilst all the while alien globalist agendas are espoused that will manifestly lead to the destruction of our country, it has become little more than an elaborate Punch and Judy show. Speaking of truth, there are some who are quite prepared to embrace the liberalisation of abortion and other shameful things. ‘What is truth?’, asked Pilate. Clearly, truth is more than simply factual accuracy. Make no mistake, they (and those who elect them) will be judged by that same Bible that resides inside the Despatch Box.

Fighting knife crime must be one of the hardest preventive tasks for police as we use knives band sharp tools for many aspects of life . When we were young, one of the first serious tools in the guides and scouts was a Swiss army knife .We won’t see those days again. Good luck to the police.

I think Stop & Search should apply to all Conservative MPs.
They should be looking for a Labour, Communist or Greens member card on their person.

Prediction: if there were no controls on S&S, and no burdensome reporting requirements, and police officers were sent out having been instructed to reduce knife-crime by finding the knives carried by the bad, knife-crime would collapse in a matter of weeks.
P.S. I was at Royal Ascot yesterday. Ahead of me at the ticket-barrier was someone who was stopped and had to hand over a sachet that probably wasn’t coffee-creamer. He looked like the kind of person most likely to be carrying cocaine. Well done, Fido.
