Good morning.
I will try and watch it later. Ever since GB News employed that ‘Creature’ it has gone down in my opinion.

It is a great shame Lawrence Fox and Dan Wootton are no longer on. But Farage, Dolan, Mogg, Doyle, Nick Dixon are all good.

Today’s Financial Times reflects on Mr Sunak’s position, and says “those close to the financial events …. describes the task in this month’s autumn statement as “holding off the headbangers” demanding unaffordable tax cuts”. I wonder who they have in mind?
Reply. Clearly not me as I have set out essential and affordable cuts with clear explanations of how you pay for them

reply to reply…. when challenged Sir John, quote the Stones latest single (don’t get) Angry (with me)!
The official video, ask google, is worth a watch.

The FT is wrong about 80% of the time. It is tax cuts that are needed to get out of the doom loop that Sunak as Chancellor and now PM has created with Hunt. Above all it is cuts in the vast levels of government waste and misdirected expenditure, the net zero lunacy, over the top red tape and the vast bloated & misdirected government.
Alas no sign of sense from Hunt or Sunak. The Kings Speech was appalling & totally pathetic. The complete opposite of “inspirational”. More broken compass lunacy we need 180 degree U turns in nearly every area from these deluded Con Socialists.

These Tory sources, close to… gossips are snakes.
John, keep pushing; my husband only said this morning that when you are up against it, who do you want fighting on your side, wishy-washy people that flip and flop on the latest newspaper agitation or people of conviction?
November 9, 2023
So, Liz Truss and John Redwood’s tax cuts? Lots of conviction. No interest in facts, evidence or reality. But lots of conviction

Cogent, persuasive and pleasing and yes, we could do with some good news but instead sre stuck with the dead hand of Chancellor Hunt.

Its a good start Sir John but you need to include as a minimum:
– creating a reduced corporation tax rate of 15% for SMEs of 15% for companies making less than £5m as they are the engine of growth to give them more money to invest and grow
– this would be funded by stopping with immediate effect all spend on EDI training across all public bodies, along with winding down non-core QUANGOS, which should have been done years ago. To be clear, this should result in companies etc ed

I see it is being reported that HMRC are now complaining about the number of calls and the large increase in work the tax on savings has caused them.
Well what a surprise, if you drag more people into paying tax, then HMRC gets more busy. !!!!!!
This is what you get by freezing the personal tax allowance, even State pensioners are now starting to pay tax on their meagre income.
Likewise the lowering of the threshold for paying tax on savings is also coming into force now interest rates have increased from virtually Zero.
What a surprise that people who have not paid tax since they stopped work, are now so confused they are contacting HMRC, and many are having to fill in complicated tax forms for the first time in years, and do not have a clue what they are doing.
The policy of madness and unintended consequences continues, problem is those of us out here with a brain forecast this very problem at the outset.

they will employ more in the HMRC, leading to higher salaries for the manager jobs.
November 9, 2023
Sensible stuff JR but no one is listening. The pathetic, misdirected and totally useless Kings Speech suggest Sunak has clearly given up already.
November 9, 2023
SJR presented sensible well-reasoned opinion expressed to a listening audience in a fine medium for good effect.

Nothing on the disgraceful stealth tax ‘fiscal drag’. Putting the allowances up to where they should be will put money in pockets to spend in the economy. How to pay for it? Try cutting some government waste. Plenty of tax coming in with all the inflation. Just shows that although claiming the allowance increases were a government idea (actually the Lib Dems) they never really believed in it and want to hammer basic tax payers, especially the low paid and pensioners. No change there – leopards and spots and all that.

Squeeze and people don’t travel, they don’t spend, the shops, carparks and trains don’t produce income – the shops fail so Councils lose the Tax….don’t economists ever engage brain?

Ignoring my own views on tax cuts; once again, our host appears to be preaching to the already converted!
A genuine question, as I really do not read or watch their content on anything like a regular basis (that I should be), does our host ever get interviewed by either the FT or Bloomberg?
November 9, 2023
Fancy anyone ignoring your views Jerry.
I mean, is it possible Sir John might be right and you might be wrong.
