Parliament is prorogued

On Wednesday  I was in the Lords for an historic ceremony. The PM decided he wanted to end the long first session of this Parliament and start again on May 14 th with a State Opening by the King of a new session. This ancient practice  allows the PM  a breathing space, the chance to relaunch the government with a new legislative  programme with  the theatre of royal ceremony to back the government.

The event takes us back to the medieval hierarchy of King, barons, knights, burgesses. The Lord Privy Seal, the senior Cabinet Minister who is Leader of the Lords, presided alongside the Lords Speaker. She told Black Rod to summons the Commons to hear  the prorogation by standing at the bar of the Lords. Once their representatives led by the Speaker were  assembled the Clerks read out recent Bills that have passed both Houses and announced royal consent. Then the Leader read a speech on behalf of the King summarising the government’s view of its legislative successes and main policies.  At the end the Commons departed and the Lords session ended.

All was done in the name of the King, though all was of course decided by the PM and cabinet. What was disappointing was the content of the speech the Leader had to read. Whilst it obeyed the rule of not making any party political points, it wallowed in complacency , often departing from reality.

It stressed the government’s commitment to growth, skipping over the reality of little growth achieved. There was no understanding of how anti growth many if its policies have been. It stressed nationalisation of rail, steel and parts of energy, without seeing how these changes will mean big losses, big taxpayer bills and disappointing results. It talked about the UK helping solve world crises without seeing the lack of engagement  with either Iran or Russia busy prolonging their wars.

I will talk about the next Kings speech  nearer its delivery. The old session dies with Labour at a historic low in the polls for a governing party, with growth stuttering, worklessness and benefits soaring, illegal migrants still coming and the cost of living squeeze still bad.

Well it seems we are going to have to make a fresh start.
As Senator John Kennedy has said, we are going to have to come up with new ‘Conspiracy Theories’ because all the old one have been proven to be true.
The Climate Change Scam, the Covid Scam and the Migration of the 3rd Wold Scam are all busted flushes.
So let me suggest two new conspiracy theories:
    1. In fact 99% of the political class in the U.K. actually have no idea what to do, they cannot connect their actions with actual consequences, much less forsee consequences caused by proposed action.
    2. The WEF-types are creating a ‘food shortage’ crisis. This will mean that the population of Europe will be in survival mode, either we will either starve to be rid of the foreign eaters.
Note that point 2 proves point 1 because the political class will achieve the reverse of their objective.

. . . either starve to be rid of the foreign eaters.

Do you not find it both odd, and somewhat fortuitus that a certain Prof. David Betz, he of Kings College who deals in war studies has suddenly arrived out of nowhere suggesting that such things as you said above may come to pass.

I am also suspicious of all this ‘raise the flag’ stuff. Too spontaneous and to well planned and financed to be the work of a small group of people.

No it seems that we all know that of the political class refuse to redress our grievances in the usual way we will end up having to decide whether to surrender or fight. Therefore consulting a Prof of Civil Wars is the rational outcome. Indeed it is yet another effort to pressure the politicians to do their democratic job, because nobody wants to fight.
Raising a flag is a clearly understood action. We claim the land. This is yet another effort to AVOID the violence we see throughout Europe, with hundreds of Churches burning every year – again a clear attack on our European culture.
Senator John Kennedy is such an astute man, he has said that ‘Starmer is polling right up there with gonorrhea‘.

Everything this government does is a departure from reality. Every move they make does the opposite of what is needed.
Today the Employment Rights bill comes into force. This will kill off many part time jobs especially in hospitality which many people especially students rely on.
Jacking up the minimum wage and employers NI is destroying jobs and increasing unemployment.
The renters rights bill makes it unprofitable for small landlords so there’s been a massive sell off of buy to let properties.
The only growth is via the government renting for the invaders.
This country is becoming unrecognisable under these lying charlatans and their end cannot come soon enough.

Indeed. It’s been announced Whitbread are to close their ‘Beefeater’ and ‘Brewers Fayre’ restaurant chains. Due to increased costs from, the minimum wage, NI contributions and increased business rates.
Whatever you think of ‘Beefeater’ this is an avoidable disaster for around 30,000 people. Due entirely to the actions of Reeves and the Labour party.

Interesting watching electricity grid this last week. We have been importing between 15 and 20% of our electricity at an average of £115 per mwh. Two days ago we had a surplus due to high winds and bright sun so we were exporting about 10% of generation at the princely sum of £12.95 per mwh.
Remember Boris abs his UK being the Saudi Arabia of renewable energy.
The road to ruin. We now have to pay solar operators which only have a capacity factor of 11% to switch off. Could anything be more stupid and Milibrain is set to approve even more useless solar.

Indeed and the evil of the Covid “vaccines” that they are still hiding the statistics for.

The appalling new “tenants rights” bill comes in today too. This will help neither landlords not tenants and will reduce supply of properties to rents. it will benefit lawyers though.

Sir Mark Rowley is right to complain about the foolish Zak Polanski’s tweet. But the people who have really inflamed the situation are Two Tier Kier (with his evil and anti free speech Islamophobia definitions), Two Tier microphone grabbing Sir Mark Rowley, Sadiq Kahn types, the Two Tier Courts and Judges and the two tier DPP. This by their general encouragement of the hate marches, their failures to act over incitement on one side and their general pandering to the Muslim vote. The appalling cancellation of the Israel football match in the Midlands by the police there too.

Still the dire and widely despised Two Tier Kier has renamed the threat level “severe” so all will be just fine now then!

They are being indicted for ‘hiding the statistics’ in the USA.
Waterford was the most ‘vaccinated’ place on earth. Highest vax rate → Highest COVID cases → Highest excess deaths …and they got a WHO award for it.
Kennedy says Gates controls WHO and the USA will never be dictated to by Gates again!
The U.K. needs to leave WHO before the next ‘pandemic’ they are promising.

@Lynn Atkinson – it is hard to conceive this isn’t part of the ‘Plan’.

The countries top legal brain rising through the ranks being rewarded for ‘ability’, promoted by those that know. Everyone being duped into believing this same professional ‘high flyer’, manipulator of the Law is some how out of his depth. The evidence suggests the opposite 22months in the maximum damage and ‘hate’ for the nation and its people is being realised. Another 38months and our predecessors won’t recognise that a country so riddled with hate from the top down was once a thriving tolerant all embarrassing place to live.

Socialist/Marxism is about hate and division to create control

The malaise and disconnect between governments and people is felt across most of Europe. The UK is no exception. Each country has its own way in which this rot develops and manifests itself, but essentially it’s all part of the same disease.

We have an arrogant, entitled elite class that no longer thinks it should exercise restraint and rule by social contract. It sees a heatless, corporatist, authoritarian future as the most efficient way to grow its power and wealth.

Our democracy is in many inccreasing ways an illusion. The ancient pomp of Parliament is part of the act. We don’t seem to have any politicians that want to alter the direction of travel. Only those who comply get to be elected.

The British voted again and again to control immigration but every recent government from Blair onwards to Starmer has just ignored them and kicked them in the teeth.

The Liz Truss Show ; Since 1971, Your Money Has Lost 95% of Its Value.

Indeed but it is even worse if you invested £1m in 1971 and achieved a good return of 10% PA pre tax from 1971 you should have had £172 M with no tax but with UK taxes every year you get circa £ 23m in real terms worth only 1.16 M in real terms. So £ 0.16 m profit for you and £170 m for the government taken off you in taxes over the 54 years and inflation.

What a great place to invest! Plus when you die they take another 40% of you too so your £1m has “grown” to 0.7 million. Who need wealth taxes they get it all anyway?

‘The PM decided he wanted to end the long first session of this Parliament and start again on May 14th’

There it is again the threat ‘start again’ . Just as with the EU when the the results are not as planed ‘Start Again’

There has never been a PM, a Government, a Parliament that has as its purpose the creation of ‘hate’ and ‘division’. The ‘hate’ of the UK and its People. Something this PM demonstrates daily. Then some are surprised that the same ‘hate’ trickles down to manifest its self throughout society, the UK’s leadership is acting as the beacon to all haters.

The only ‘Start Again’ needed is a General Election

Says the Man that hates the UK and its people, that strives to create division and hate as a means of forcing his very personal narrative on the nation. The rot started at the top, if you demonstrate hate and division should you be surprised when your followers also practice it?

With plenty of evidence around the world of which governments create success, and which failure, why does the UK government persist in following failing policies? It began with the ghastly Tony Blair, who set the process of ignoring the voters in motion, and continued with the equally ghastly Cameron, May, Johnson, and Sunak.
The current Government is both a shambles and a disgrace.
Where are the independent MPs who are prepared to challenge the current failing consensus?
How can a PM act against the will of the people by taking us back into the EU?
Why has no government since 1997 stopped or drastically reduced immigration, as a majority of voters want?
